What happened to the planned rematch of Saul Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin? It is ironic that Golovkin is the middleweight champion but Alvarez is the one dictating the purse. Understandably Canelo Alvarez is more popular than Golovkin. Add to that the result of their fight that ended in a draw, the rematch is awaited by the fans.

I would bet that they are drawing it out, and I also automatically assume that it is for monetary gains. I am not really sure of this situation and maybe there is more to the story, but that is always my guess.
