Yo!

Been a member here for a while and I've decided to start a training log.

About me then, 20 years old, 191 cm 97 kg from Sweden. Been training at the gym for about 2 years, played baseball for 9. My goal is to play in the majors.

Stats at the gym;

Squat 300 (goal this year 350)
Close grip bench 220 (260)
Deadlift 400 (440)
Gripper coc #2 (ordered 2.5 last week)

That's about it. :gaygay:

Front squat 5x110, 5x155, 2x175, 1x200, 1x220 then I felt some pain in my lower back
Snatch squat 3x90
Deadlift 6x155, 6x220, 4x285, 1x330
Lats with a V handle 6x110, 6x210, 6x210, 6x220
Some bicep work and belly

Comment: Easy session b/c the lower back pain, I was supposed to try 410 in the deadlift, next time maybe.

Back pain in from the front squats is actually normal as you have weight distributed at the front of the body and squating down the middle point of balance and pressure is your middle back. :disgust:

If I were you I would squats and deadlift different days although they inherently train different muscle groups it is almost impossible due to the energy each excersise drains to complete the 2nd be it dead or squats to the maximum potential. Even if a full body workout is attempted should focus on heavey Deads on one full body and squats on the next.

Other than that nice work, are you currently playing baseball in college?

I know I should do them on different days but at the moment I want to build strenght in my legs so I do easy deads after squats on both tuesday and friday.

Thanks, right now I play in Sweden but I'm going to the US sometime soon. I think I'm going to an open try out for minor league, or I'll sign up for a team and work my way up to the majors :xyxthumbs:






Today's session:

Close grip bench 20x45, 6x110, 5x155, 6x6x6x188, 6x176
Over head press 6x90, 6x6x6x110
Rotator cuff work 6 set 20 reps
Chicken with dumbells 6x33, 6x33, 6x33, lol don't know what it's called but you raise your arms from the side to work the middle delts
Pushdowns 6x100, 6x100, 6x100

The reason I do close grip bench is b/c I want to build tricep strenght to improve my throwing.

Comment: After the close grip bench my triceps were dead so the ohp was heavy. Good session.

Today's session was pretty good:

Squat 8x45, 6x130, 5x200, 2x240, 3x265, 2x265, 5x5x220, 5x200, 5x110
Lats V handle 6x100, 1x175, 6x6x6x220
Calves 3 sets 15 reps
Biceps 6 sets 8 reps (lol, never do so much bicep otherwise)
Belly 4 sets 10 reps
Squat stretch 2 sets about 1 minute @ 110 lb

Comment: Good session, put on my belt after 5x200. All the squats are deep, I've always done them deep and don't see any reason to go parallel now.


Btw Samoan-Z, you're right they're called lateral db raises :)

It's not 20 times 20, it's 20 for 2 sets.. I should probobly write in a different way so it's easier to read..
