Ok well first off Obama is way more intelligent than McCain. We all know what happens when there is a dumb president Ex: George Bush. As ive said before the only reason McCain is even in any sort of government is because he was he was a war hero not because he knows what he is doing. Ok. Obama is for universal healthcare while McCain is for free market. Obama is for withdrawing troops from Iraq whil McCain is for adding more (which will raise taxes to pay for this). Obama is for discussig economicswith Iran while McCain is for "pressuring" them into changing their economy. McCain seems to think war or military is the result for everything. Obama says he will repeal the tax xuts for people amking over 250,000 ( I think not sure) We all kow republicans are in favor of the rich and the last time I checked no one on this site is making that much.

Now can we discuss why you are waisting a vote by writing in Ron Paul?

To stand for what we believe in?

I dont think any one will notice that or do anything about what you believe in. If someone wants to make a stand for something they believe in they should do something more noticable to the general public. Some of you may not like the candidates but Obama is by far the better candidate so why not vote for him.
I understand that most of you love Ron Paul so why not do something that can be effective in getting your word out instead of writing his name on the ballot
that maybe only one person will see that has no affect on anything political?

So, just because the general public won't see it means we should just fold and do what everyone else does? We've done a lot to make things noticeable (like donating 6 million in a day) and the media shut us out; but we kept donating money even though the general public did not know. We also kept hammering away at the grass roots level and put together probably one of the biggest grass roots efforts in history; I doubt the general public knows about this, too. That's fine if you like Obama but we have our beliefs, too and we'll keep carrying Ron Pauls word on even though we probably won't ever see him as President Ron Paul.

I am not even going to get into this Tonyk

I liked what I heard from Palin so far, and other than his foreign policy stance I like McCain if I had to pick between the two. And with Iraq having us settle on a deal to have our troops out by 2010 or 2011 using that pathetic reason is pretty much moot.
As for Obama with Iran, thus far the ENTIRE WORLD with the exceptions of Russia and China have put pressure on Iran not continuing their nuclear ambitions and they are still doing so. So what does Obama think he will do diplomatically different? Nothing, just like what his "Change" is, nothing. With a struggling economy the last thing we need are the tax hikes he is proposing with a foreign policy he is not going to do much to change other than "Pulling the troops out of Iraq"... that is happening whether we want it or not!
As for his Universal Healthcare program, the amount that is going to cost us to even begin is going to blow the "War on Terror" out of the water. It won't work and will not happen right now, you all were again lied to while he poured these sweet things you wanted to hear to be let down again.
And do you have an IQ test that McCain has taken to legitimately accuse him of being less intelligent than Obama? Being a great public speaker DOES NOT make you more intelligent, it just makes you a great public speaker.

I hate McCain, in my mind, he's no war hero, the article I posted before sums his military service up pretty well in my mind.

Why should people making over 250,000 still be taxed, while others aren't? Why should they be punished for their success? It's not that simple, and I'm going to link an article which talks about this. Obama doesn't understand the basic economic principles that the only wealth one can benefit from is their own. Though I do think Obama is sincere in his beliefs (McCain is just a pure puppet), Obama's economic policies would be a DISASTER. The guy has proposed to increase government spending by over $340 BILLION dollars a year!! He's not doing it to try and erase the deficit, he's just a pure socialist and borderline communist.

And you're talking about McCain raising taxes? You really, really, really need to read this.

The sheeple are going to vote for either Obama or McCain, because they've been presented to them. In situations like this, it's always a good idea to turn to Family Guy. As bad as it is, it pretty well shows why people vote the way they do. Obama is just like Adam West is in this clip.

As to why i'm "wasting" a vote? It's a matter of principle, I'm not voting for the lesser of two evils, I'm voting for the man who I want to be president. I can't control what everyone else does, but I sure as hell can look myself in the mirror and know I wasn't part of the problem that is the two-party monopoly.

Good posts Wolf, Braaq, and IS.

I'll miss the voting deadline by about a month (turning 18 November 29 ), but I'd write in Ron Paul as well.
