May interest some of the aussies.
Interests me as I play in the band Wardaemonic, and we were due to fly over there from Perth to play this festival. Bye bye 500 dollars on flights, shirts we just got printed for the event etc. No less the fact that as I play shirtless with conan-esque black war paint ive been dieting using this 'show' as a focal point.

As it turns out booking at an RSL was probably a risky/bad move in the first place, but the people backing this protest have made it their cause to make sure the show doesn't go ahead elsewhere either. Leaked info of a new possible venue has led to the offer being withdrawn.

I read about this on Brismetal.com today. The christian group made death threats to the people at the RSL, which is just bull****. Now that the christian group has successfully ****ed one show in the arse, I'm foreseeing them trying to shut down many more.

What a load of crap. We're being discriminated against again. I'm sick of the supposed "moral majority" deciding what is good for everyone like they would know. Most of them would have never have heard any of the music I like and yet they want to tell me it is a bad thing.
