hahaha i learned a bit about durkheim a couple weeks ago... dont know much though
I hate learning things in my nutrition subject that oppose things ive learned through bodybuilding. LIKE apparently Brown rice is a High GI food and should be eaten sparingly

GI is not really useful in practice is the problem. I mean chocolate is low GI.Maybe they're implying that it is a high GI food compared to an extremely low non-carb GI food. Whereas we compare it to white rice which is relatively much higher. Remember as bodybuilders we hold carbs in much higher esteem than your average weight-watching skeleton. Technically all carbs are going to be high GI, that's why they're the best source of energy.
I'm writing up papers from my PhD so that we can publish before I hand in. I also work full time in my field.

GI is a relative scale that looks at relative absorbtion of glucose into the blood stream over time. The difference in time between high GI and low GI is surprisingly small, especially when compared to digestion rates of meals. Then the real kicker; GI can be thrown out once you combine sources, let alone macros, like in say a meal made up of more than one type of food :methman:
I don't know why it still gets referred to at all. SI (satiety index) has been shown to be more useful.

I'll start thursday the 28. I pretty glad schools starts again. I need some structure, vacation is fine but there is no structure which infuence my training and diet.
how can you diet while being in school? i always get in a bad mood while dieting and than school? shit i would prob. punch somebody in his mouth every day
