This is a thread about travelling. Where have you been? How'd you get there? Where would you like to go? Where wouldn't you go if someone paid you?

My wife and I have been away from home for about 18-19months now. We've settled in London briefly and have been using it as a starting point for occasional trips around the UK or over to Europe. Before we landed here we did a 3 month backpacking trip through Japan and Europe and I even did a bit of Africa when I met up with my Dad and brothers.

So far I've been to:

• Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima and a few other places
• Germany: Cologne, Munich
• Spain: Barcelona, San Sebastian, Malaga
• Croatia: Zagreb, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik
• Greece: Naflplio, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Ios, Thermopylae
• Africa: S. Africa (Johannesburg), Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana
• Netherlands: Amsterdam
• Wales: Cardiff
• UK: London, Leeds, Bath, Bristol, Yorkshire

My favourite places so far have been: Japan (all of), Croatia (all of) and Ios. Africa was also mind-blowing for so many different reasons.
Least favourite: Athens, the rest of Greece was great but its capital was dirty and full of rude cunts. And the fucking Acropolis was covered with scaffolding!

Next year before we return home we're already planning one last 3 month trip encompassing:

• France
• Belgium
• Netherlands
• Germany
• Czech Republic
• Slovenia
• Hungary
• Austria
• Italy
• Spain

...And finishing off with a week in Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival.

That's a lot of places you've been to el freako. You've been in my city also! (Málaga).

In Spain i've been to many cities and regions. Further than that i spent one month in Wimblendon (London), one month in Dublin (Ireland) and one month in Edimburgh, shame it was July so i wasn't there for Fringe Festival but i'm looking forward to coming back, i loved the city.

I'm currently planing a trip to Dusseldorf (Germany) and also to Zilina (Slovakia), where i have friends working.
I'd like to travel to Italy, France, Netherlands... all around europe in general. In fact i'd go anywhere, love traveling.

Never really had the urge... until recently. Maybe one day. I have met a few great yanks while travelling and they've turned my opinion of Americans around (the ones I'd met in Oz did you guys no favour). Would love to do Canadia and Mexico as well. Might need a few months to do the lot.

i stayed in toowoomba for about 3 - 4 weeks with abunch of mates.

Apparently it has the highest number of nursing homes and schools per capita in the state, so its a great place to be a kid and a great place to go and die, but in between its hell. When you're 16 you have a limited set of options.

1. Get drunk
2. Get high
3. Get pregnant
4. Get pregnant and then get drunk and high
5. Kill yourself

Personally I chose option one and supplemented it with petty vandalism.

I'll be back in Oz for good next September, time to buy a house, finish my studies and get to baby making.

Be prepared to be called a seppo a lot while studying in Oz, we haven't made up a word for the Canadians yet.
