UFC heavyweights – Ngannou vs Velasquez

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is making a comeback against dreaded knockout artist Francis Ngannou. After his terrible loss against Derrick Lewis, Ngannou made a good recovery in his rematch with Curtis Blayde with a TKO finish in the first round. Now Ngannou is going to face Velasquez on February 18. It was expected for Ngannou to go for a quick knockout otherwise he may lose steam again like what happened when he lost to former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

It was expected that the fight may not last for more than 1 round but the result was beyond the expectation. Velasquez grappled and Ngannou looked like lifting him a bit. And then Velasquez fell due to a buckled knee. When Ngannou seized the opportunity for a ground and pound, the referee stopped the fight to save Velasquez from unnecessary harm. It was an accidental fall that actually ended the fight like giving the win to Ngannou who had nothing to do with it.
