Bellator 225 Heavyweights Matt Mitrione vs Sergei Kharitonov

Both with 6 losses in the heavyweight division, American Matt Mitrione with 13 wins will take on Russian Sergei Kharitonov who has 28 wins for his record. This is actually a rematch for their no-contest fight in Bellator 215 early this year. A low kick by Mitrione caused an injury stoppage. Bellator 225 will be on August 24 at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

It was a heavyweight bout between Russia and US. Kharitonov of Russia has tested the mouthpiece of American Mitrione several times before unleashing a heavy punch that knocked down the American. With the lethal follow up, Kharitonov was stopped by the referee to save Mitrione from further harm.
