Undefeated Carlos Canizales will defend his WBA junior lightweight belt against Japanese Sho Kimura on May 26 at Fuzhou, China. The champion has 21 wins and 1 draw with 17 KOs while Kimura has a fight record of 18-2-2 and 11 KOs. The expectation is a slugfest because of the dynamic style of both fighters.

Venezuelan Carlos Canizales successfully defended his WBA junior lightweight title against Japanese challenger Sho Kimura. It was all the undefeated champion throughout the 12 rounds that earned him a unanimous decision of 119-109, 119-109, 118-110. Canizales picked up his 22nd win with 17 KOs for his fight record.
