WBC Interim Lightweight bout – Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna

WBC lightweight champion Daven Haney is in wait for the rightful challenger – the winner of the interim lightweight championship between Ryan Garcia and Javier Fortuna on July 9. The young Garcia is undefeated with 21 wins and 18 KOs while Fortuna has a respectable fight record of 36-2-1 with 25 KOs. Garcia is relying on his last fight when he finished Luke Campbell despite an early knockdown.


Just in – Ryan Garcia withdraws from the bout with Fortuna on the issue of health and well-being. Golden Boy said that Ryan is dealing with mental health issues.
