Oscar Valdez will defend his WBC junior lightweight title on September 10 in Tucson, USA. The challenger is Robson Conceicao. The champion is undefeated with 29 wins and 26 KOs while Cenceicao has a fight record of 16 wins and 8 KOs with no defeat. The betting odds are in favor of the Brazilian Cenceicao.

Robson Conceicao suffered his first loss when Oscar Valdez earned a controversial unanimous decision. The judges gave Valdez scores of 115-112, 115-112, and 117-110 which seemed debatable to some boxing experts. In that statistics, the number of punches favored Conceicao 141 to 83 while the power punches it was 103 for Conceicao and 64 for Valdez. This looks like needing an investigation in the scoring of the judges.
