Whats everyone doing these days?

I miss alot of you guys on here. I have known some of you guys since 2004.

I am about to become an uncle in a few days and currently work in a operating theater at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Been working at the same Hospital now for 5 years. Done 3 different jobs at the same Hospital. Its been an eye opener working in such a place. I've joked and laughed with people that only had a few hours/days to live. It really puts things into perspective when you see people going through such awful situations day in and day out. I have so many stories I could tell. I once met a soldier that was in because he got shot in the ass while off duty.

Will be going back to school to study physiotherapy. Hope I can do well and make a career out of it. Its not going to be easy.

Most of you know I got deferred from the Army (5 weeks into my selection process) for having gout. Well, I still struggle with that everyday but its not as bad as it sounds. I can still do most things but occasionally my joints get really stiff and sore and I have to take it easy for a while. . I haven't had an acute attack in about 16 months which is the longest I've gone since having this disease. I met a patient that was in for having gout in his spine, elbow and foot at the same time and it scared the hell out of me. He was constantly screaming in pain. I just pray I never have to go through that.

Anyway, whats everyone doing these days? Anyone got married? Had kids?

p.s. The forum is now better hands. Trust me. Expect big things.

So glad to hear that you are doing well Pain and nice to see some posts from old familiar friends! Eli80Cal and I are doing well! Almost married 9 years now which is crazy because we were just newlyweds when we began posting on BBD. We have one son who is 3 and so much fun. I have been playing women's tackle football again (as I did in my younger year...when we had first joined BBD) and will be playing one more season starting in a couple weeks before we plan to have our second little one. Am training pretty hard, but anticipate being very sore and beat up for the next six months! Woo hoo!! I also work as a reserve, but am a stay at home mom since our son was born in 2009.

Would love to hear some updates from any of the old friends. Not sure who is around anymore, but do hope you are all well!

Well alot of things have changed for me...

I work at a college as a janitor even though I feel like I'm smarter than most of the people who go there. Sometimes I see an equation written on a blackboard, like half an equation and... I just figure it out.

Oh, and my best friend is Ben Affleck.

And it is seriously scary and depressing that I met "Pain" (Rob) 10 years ago on the Bodybuilding.com forums. I cringe at the thought of how much time I've spent on the ****ing internet in the last 10 years.

Started my new job a few months ago as a healthcare support worker (HCSW) in a surgical theatre. Long hours, 8-6 but the pay is good and the job is extremely interesting. On my first day I was in theatre watching a breast augmentation procedure.

Anyway, heres a picture of me in my theatre greens trying to look official. I have hair now.

and my 5 month old niece, Abigail. She is awesome.

Hi there guys! i'm glad you all are doing fine. I got married two years ago and had a wonderful daughter 7 months ago. I've been working in the same place for 6 years now so nothing new, although considering the economic situation here in Spain this is quite an achievement.
Training-wise i've had my ups and downs (ie: two months off last year when my daughter was born) but I keep on it and have recently done my first full power meet competing raw in the spanish affiliate of the IPF. I was injured so my numbers were quite off but the experience was awesome, a total blast. I'm right now recovering from said injury.
