The Arnold Classic 2023 is on the horizon, and bodybuilding fans and professionals are already making their 2023 Arnold Classic Predictions. Arnold Classic was founded by a bodybuilder himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, together with Jim Lorimer. It is an annual event where bodybuilders gather and compete on who among them has the best physique when it comes to the bodybuilding circuits.

There are many standouts for this year, including front-runners and previous title holders. The Men’s Open is what bodybuilding fans are enthusiastic about among the seven divisions of the Arnold Classic.

Seven-Time 212 Olympia Champ Flex Lewis Predicts Top 10 at 2023 Arnold Classic

Flex Lewis is a bodybuilding champion who held Mr. Olympia 212 title from 2012 to 2018. With so many years in the bodybuilding industry, it is no wonder Lewis’ prediction matters as he has been in this kind of competition for years. Lewis shared his thoughts on who might be making their names at the upcoming event.

Lewis, widely regarded as one of the most impressive physique athletes in the world, believes that the 2023 Arnold Classic will be one of the most competitive in recent memory.

Nick Walker

Nick Walker is the 2021 Arnold Classic title holder and is already making a name in the industry. Aside from being a bodybuilder, he is also famous for his YouTube videos. Walker also competed in the 2022 Mr. Olympia but was not able to bag the title.

Mamdouh Elssbiay

Mamdouh Elssbiay entered the professional bodybuilding scene in 2013. The Egyptian bodybuilder was hailed as Mr. Olympia in 2020 and 2021. He was also a title holder in other international bodybuilding competitions.

Andrew Jacked

Andred Jacked, or Andrew Chinedu, is one of the newest bodybuilders that went pro. The Nigerian bodybuilder gained his IFBB Elite card only in 2021. Despite being new in pro, he already had several titles since 2021 and entered 8th in Mr. Olympia 2022.

Samson Dauda

Dauda is a determined bodybuilder in this year’s Arnold Classic roster. Though “The Nigerian Lion” placed 4th in the 2022 Arnold Classic, he looks forward to defeating Nick Walker in this year’s Arnold Classic. Dauda only had his Pro League card in 2018 but has joined several bodybuilding competitions in Romania, Canada, and Boston.

William Bonac

William Bonac is another IFBB pro known to improve yearly in different bodybuilding competitions. He has received many awards since 2011, including first place in Arnold Classic in 2018 and 2020.

Shaun Clarida

The Giant Killer, Shaun Clarida, is an American bodybuilder who entered professional bodybuilding competitions in 2012 under the bantamweight division. He has been joining Mr. Olympia since 2015 but could only have the title in 2019. Clarida has not yet received many titles, but he is one of the top contenders in Arnold Classic 2023.

Akim Williams

Williams withdrew his entry from last year’s Arnold Classic. Many bodybuilding fans look forward to seeing Williams display his muscular physique in the said competition this year. Aside from Arnold Classic, he also joined Mr.Olympia, Puerto Rico Pro, Chicago Pro, and Tampa Pro.

Justin Rodriguez

The Dominican bodybuilder, Justin Rodriguez, was a full-time employee before he started professional bodybuilding in 2021. He joined several times two of the most prestigious bodybuilding competitions, the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia. However, he hasn’t gotten a title yet for both competitions. He had his first victory in bodybuilding in the 2021 Indy Pro.

Kamal Elgargni

You would never know that Kamal Elgargni is one of the oldest competitors at 51 years old. This Libyan-British bodybuilder won Mr. Olympia in 2019 and Arnold Classic Ohio in 2018. He has been joining Mr. Olympia since 2018 and hasn’t gone beyond 3rd place. Elgargni spent most of his bodybuilding career in amateur competitions.

Patrick Moore

The bodybuilder from Houston, Patrick Moore, joined Mr. Olympia in 2019 and 2021. However, he wasn’t able to join the 2022 contest as he was preparing for the 2023 Mr. Olympia. During his amateur career, Moore won first place in 2016, Mr. Texas, and NPC USA Super Heavyweight in 2017.

Iain Valliere’s Predictions

Like Flex Lewis, Valliere picks Nick Walker as the top contender in the 2023 Arnold Classic, to be held in Columbus, Ohio, on March 2 to 5. According to him, Walker is a clear-cut favorite and is unbeatable for this year’s Arnold Classic.

Valliere also praised Andrew Jacked’s muscular physique but still believes that there are poses where his build will not defeat Walker’s. In the episode of the Bro Chat podcast, he shared that he believes that Nick Walker is capable of showing more than how he did in Olympia.

Here are Valliere’s choices for this 2023 Arnold Classic:

  • Nick Walker
  • Samson Dauda
  • Mamdouh Elssbiay
  • Shaun Clarida
  • Andrew Jacked
  • William Bonac
  • Justin Rodriguez
  • Akim Williams
  • Kamal Elgargni
  • Patrick Moore

Justin Shier’s Predictions

Like Lewis and Valliere, Justin Shier also has predictions for the upcoming 2023 Arnold Classic. Shier, an IFBB Pro bodybuilder who had his pro card in the 2021 NPC National Championship, also won first place in the said competition. Here are Shier’s predictions for this year’s Arnold Classic:

  • Nick Walker
  • Mamdouh Elssbiay
  • Samson Dauda
  • Shaun Clarida
  • William Bonac
  • Andrew Jacked
  • Akim Williams
  • Justin Rodriguez
  • Kamal Elgargni
  • Patrick Moore

Fouad Abiad’s Prediction

Abiad is one of the best bodybuilders in Canada. Though retired, Abiad is still present in the bodybuilding industry by hosting the Real Bodybuilding Podcast. His significant accomplishments in the pro competition include several top-five finishes, including IFBB Vancouver Pro, where he bagged first place.

Like the other professional bodybuilders, Abiad also joined Arnold Classic several times in his career. Now, it is his time to share who he thinks will take home first place in the 2023 Arnold Classic.

  • Samson Dauda
  • Mamdouh Elssbiay
  • Nick Walker
  • William Bonac
  • Andrew Jacked
  • Shaun Clarida
  • Justin Rodriguez
  • Akim Williams
  • Kamal Elgargni
  • Patrick Moore

Unlike Lewis, Valliere, and Shier, Abiad’s first place is Dauda. He was more impressed with Dauda’s physique, which only placed Nick Walker as his third choice for this year’s Arnold Classic.

The Bottomline

Flex Lewis, Iain Valliere, Justin Shier, and Fouad Abiad are one of the best bodybuilders of their era. No wonder their predictions matter in the 2023 Arnold Classic. They have joined the competition themselves and know what the benchmark of being the first place is. The majority believes that Nick Walker will be named first place to take back the title from Brandon Curry.
