Smolov - Day 3 Week 1 - Introductory microcycle

Todays training felt like a walk in the park. I bottomed out every single rep, and no tightness in the lower back, no major quad fatigue. I was pretty sore going in, but it didn't seem to hinder me too much once I got warmed up.

Very very happy with today's session.

Miami^ not everyone has a 75inch waist to support their heavy squats so give kurt a break. BTW i dont think he has started using one yet... have you kurt?

Its ok to use a belt when doing Smolov. The accumulated strain on your lower back is brutal.

That was it. Squats were pretty hard, but do-able. My bench is probably my weakest exercise, so it is definately something I need to work on over the Smolov program time, and concentrate on afterwards.

My form has been pretty good actually... had to use the belt on the 5 rep set, back was fucked.

I'll call it whatever the fuck I want :keke:

Tried a longer warmup today, made everything feel a lot better. Yesterday the weight felt heavier than it should have, and my lower back burned out way to early.

Freako - HAHA I know ey... I don't even know what I'm truely in for with the base cycle!
