Freeman's back lat spread is bloody huge. Branch doesn't have great lats (he's all teres major).

Of course he's closer to the cam but you got my point. He looks thicker than Freeman (and the rest of guys in that comparision shot) because he has a lot of muscle in that mini-frame of his.

That's why the guys amazes me (of course his arms and back thickness/simmetry are lagging).

EDIT: This is how phil needs to do his front double bi


He looks much more comfortable and his arms are lower...When he competes he has a tendency to put his arms too high and close his arms too much which doesnt help him look wider...

I dont know if its just the angle but it seems as if he closes his scapulas a bit as in the second pic as opposed to the backstage pic.
