Jacked is one of the top guys in Men’s Open right now, but his 4th place at the 2026 Mr. Olympia demonstrated that even with a very good build, you need to be in the right conditioning to win the big Mr. Olympia titles. Coach Chris Aceto feels one key thing could be the difference in helping Jacked get back to the top, and that is to get drier on stage whilst still having all the structure, muscle fullness and presentation.

With Jacked confirmed for the 2027 Arnold Classic, he'll have the chance to defend his title and further cement his status as one of the division’s best.

Jacked’s Road to 2027

Jacked (Chinedu Andrew Obiekea) has confirmed his return to Columbus, Ohio, for the 2027 Arnold Classic (March 4-7, 2027). That was a very successful 2026 for him, with wins at the Arnold Classic, Arnold Classic UK, and the Romania Muscle Fest Pro. He finished 4th at the 2026 Mr. Olympia (Nick Walker took the title).

As per Fitness Volt’s report of 7th October, Aceto pointed to conditioning as a key factor that could go a long way to improving Jacked’s chances at the next Arnold Classic. His focus was on the importance of having a drier look in order to accentuate the already very good shape.

Chris Aceto Says Andrew Jacked Needs to Be Drier

Aceto said Jacked looked a bit too rounded at the 2026 Olympia and that better conditioning might have made a real difference to his placement.

For competitive bodybuilding, a drier arrival generally equates to sharper muscle definition and less visible subcutaneous water. An athlete’s appearance is of course going to be affected by a number of things. The aim is to get more definition without losing the muscle fullness and without going too dry and looking depleted.

Aceto also noted that Jacked looked even bigger than he did at the last Arnold Classic. That's a significant point, really, as Jacked doesn't necessarily need any more muscle mass to improve his position. Simply being better conditioned could make his existing muscle and shape look even better.

How Jacked’s 2026 Arnold Classic Win Compares With His Olympia Result

Jacked won the 2026 Arnold Classic (beating Nick Walker in the process) and then finished 4th at the 2026 Mr. Olympia. That shows he can win against the best in the world, but it also shows how much presentation and conditioning can play into the result in different competitions.

At the Arnold Classic, Jacked had a winner's package in terms of structure, muscle, and stage presence. At Olympia, he came in behind Walker, Samson Dauda, and Derek Lunsford.

The difference doesn't prove that conditioning was the sole factor in the outcome. Judging is a process of comparing across a number of mandatory poses (muscle development, symmetry, proportion, conditioning, etc.). Aceto does, however, think that a bit more conditioning might have helped Jacked to showcase his attributes better.

Why Aceto Compares Andrew Jacked to Flex Wheeler

Aceto compared Jacked’s physique to that of Flex Wheeler (a bodybuilding legend) and pointed to the structural attributes that can make an athlete absolutely stunning when all the elements are in place.

The comparison is all about structure, muscle bellies, V-taper, and the overall visual effect of the muscle groups in relation to each other. Aceto’s argument is that Jacked can look a lot more dominant when his conditioning works in conjunction with those attributes.

Wheeler’s career is a case in point as to how exceptional proportions and presentation can set an athlete apart. For Jacked, the challenge is to take his natural advantages and turn them into a consistently competition-ready physique.

Other Areas That Could Improve Jacked’s Competitive Package

Although conditioning was Aceto’s principal recommendation, Jacked’s overall presentation is still very much in play for 2027.

His back development, his hamstring separation, and his muscular detail will all have an effect on how well he can perform in the back. All of those areas need to be considered in the context of his overall physique rather than as the 'confirmed weaknesses' that Aceto has identified in his most recent comments.

Posing is just as important. The consistent execution of the required poses will allow the judges to properly assess Jacked’s structure, his muscle, and his conditioning. Better transitions and a much stronger overall presentation during the prejudging and in the finals will go a long way to maximizing the impact of his physique.

Who could possibly challenge Andrew Jacked at the 2027 Arnold Classic?

Jacked is going to be up against a potentially tough field if any of the other top Men’s Open guys get involved in the 2027 contest. Nick Walker (2026 Mr. Olympia) is a very definite one to watch. There could be others in the field as well, depending on what they're doing elsewhere.

The final field and the condition of each athlete will dictate how the comparisons play out. Jacked can't just go on his previous Arnold Classic win. He'll need to be in with a genuine competitive package on the day.

Can Andrew Jacked win the 2027 Arnold Classic?

Jacked has already shown he can win the Arnold Classic. Aceto’s latest take is that it's all about conditioning rather than just adding more size if he's going to be in a position to defend the title in 2027.

Arriving drier whilst maintaining muscle fullness, improving muscular detail, and presenting his proportions through consistent posing would give Jacked a solid base. Whether that's quite enough to take the win will ultimately come down to his final condition and the strength of the opposition.

For now, Aceto’s message is clear: Jacked already possesses the structure and muscularity to dominate when he is fully on point. His next challenge is bringing all those qualities together at the right moment.

I’m with Aceto on this one. Jacked doesn’t need to chase more size. He already has enough muscle to stand with anybody. If he comes in noticeably drier without flattening out, that could change the whole comparison.
