Quads & Calves

Todays Morning Training session: Quads & Calves

Side notes: Went to bed 11:30pm last night, lost track of time to busy watching a movie, i sure wont let that happen again :angrydude:
Woke up this morning at 7:00am... hmmm ive been trying to wake up around 6:30am - 6:45am so i finish eating by 7:00am. if iwake up at 7:00am i finish eating by 7:15am, the sooner im up the sooner i finsih eating the sooner im at the gym :hsughr:,
Coming off a great quad workout last week and hoping to continue the path of greatness and really go abit heavier. as the workout blog goes on you shell see what unfolds :coolguy:




Exercise: Barbell squats
Warm ups;
bar(20kg)
20kg + bar(20kg)
20kg + bar(20kg)
40kg + bar(20kg)

Working sets;
100kg x 9
120kg x 1 - failed :ugh:
This is where i just dropped and lost my motivation all together and had nothing to kick start me over again

Comments: i don't now what happened.... but seemed to lose my motivation completly and having nothing left nor energy, on a side not i have had been getting hayfever for the past 2 days over the weekend, could that have anything to do with it? im not sure.... but im not going to let it get to me, why? because quads are 1 of my strong points and having a poor quad session isn't going to worry me, i'd prolly do 6 sets and grow 1 inch :49:, anyways...dragging my arse to the next exercise+machine..



Exercise: Leg press
Side note: as of running out of room on the other leg press machine i thought i would use the other one in the weight section....*shakes head* with the palm of hand resting on my forehead..... freaken machine is to big for me, in other words im to short to push the platform in the R.O.M :49: , with a guy training legs aswel this morning gave me a few tips with adjusting the seat and adding a padding for me to being able to reach, it worked... but just didnt feel right but i continued going onwards while wishing i was useing the other leg press machine, NOTE to self... stick with other leg press machine in other room even if i have to stack weights ontop of weights on top of weights :keke:

Comments: just wasn't the same nor didnt feel right... well that was the end of training quads...:wutyousay: and moving onto calves


Exercise: Seated calve raise
Working sets;

Comments: well an improvement right here with an added 10kg from last time, not bad with an overal goodish pump... with calve burn :methman:



Overal comments:
*Stick to other leg press machine
*Set game plan attack for workout session
*get myself ready earlier
*Motivation is a must
*Re-plan & re-attack quads next week

I'm sorry you lost motivation on the 120kg squat after it. It is bad when that happens but just don't let it affect the rest of your workout brother, take time out and pyche yourself up for the next exercises to come. Anyway, heavy leg presses and the seated calf raises look heavy with added weight from last time which means your progressing :xyxthumbs:

Next time you won't have a bad workout, because you'll have a plan of action for those quads and all the other muscle groups aswell. Mentally focusing on your workouts is a must!! "where ever the mind goes, the body will follow"

Keep it up Dridd :)

just another quick update for todays workout session is lower chest and biceps
i wrote afew details down with what weight i used, and i corrected my grip on barbell bench last week, for the past year and longer ive actually had my grip too far apart, while i brought it in abit more i actually notice better pump and control with isolating my chest better.

ive got roughly 5 scoops left of SP250, i enjoyed trying it but i wont be buying it again, due to cost per scoops
$65 for less then 20 servings due to taking 3 scoops each session

yeah maybe so... but it suxed so badly :tear: if i wasn;t able to go heavy it was going to be arse to grass squats :keke:

yeah i might warm up just abit longer at the start next time and work my way up with the weight till 100kg then go into the working sets
legpress was okay..... but i was happy more with the calve raises tho :hsughr: burn baby burnnnn :keke:

True, learning from my mistakes from past workout sessions makes the ones to come better :hsughr: as ill know what to do, start off with, etc :tiphat:

Lower chest & biceps

Workout Session: Lower Chest & Biceps

side notes: game plan attack was to push myself and really go hard at it and try to increase some of the overal weights throughout the exercises :tiphat: , i woke up early and ready to attack with a slightly different attack via pre workout meal vs pre workout supplement.

Normaly i would eat my pre workout meal, wait 1 hour and 30 minutes then take my pre workout supplement at train at the 2 hour mark..... now just of lately i was thinking... thats to long to wait and a waste of time waiting... which also leaves not much time to do things after my workout before work.
so i only waited 1 hour after my meal and hit the N.O Supplement, and i still got the same results in terms of pumpness comapred to my OLD waiting time. so thats corrected and fixed so from now on ill only be waiting 1 hour after eating :xyxthumbs:

Comments: hmmmm 50/50..... great and could be better , form wise with arms could be slightly abit more UN-Bent, but other then that chest was like a rock :gaygay:

Comments: i get a nice pump and soreness from the angle of the e-z bar, i can really feel it target the biceps heaps.:xyxthumbs:


Exercise: incline laying dumbell curls
Working sets;

comment: i recently started doing these and have notice great results and soreness with these. they really ripp the biceps apart :techn9ne:


Exercise: dumbell hammer curls cross-body
40lb x 6
40lb x 6
comments: an awesome way to finish biceps off, huge pump and soreness from the incline dumbell curls :hsughr:
