I have elbow sleeves, straps, belts, even the support slimmer belt helps alot.
I am in 40s and everything can get bad with one jerky move or poor form!!

Because of being mechanic most of life I do nothing for forearms. And I got some popeye's!!!

Lol

I read a couple guys posts about going light on squats well I didn't wanna hijack any of their threads but I don't go over 315 lbs I was doing a lot more years ago but my knees and back are too important to my livelyhood and I been making progress with the weight I use

Post brother I need or want more post from y'all in my threads.
I am going up to 405 on squats ATM!!
Then back down to lower.
I start at 135 warming up.
I add a plate per side and kit a couple sets.
Then get to 405 and do 4 sets i guess of 4-6 reps!
It's hard at first but after I get there 315 would be way too light for me.

I always had to get low rep heavy range for my fast twitch to occur to grow at all.

If i do more reps I get more veiny and just stay lean with no size even on a bulk.

I have most success running 6 weeks of heavy then cutting down weight but I still go heavy for first 1/3 of workout no matter what. I increase reps and supersets with less weight during other 2/3 workout.

This after trying every route has been what works for me.
But a weight is different from one guy to next so 315 or 405 means nothing....
It's whatever gets us fatigued and stimulates fast twitch for each of us.

We are all stronger at different weights on different body parts so keep that in mind.
Because this was brought up I will not post weight used anymore!!!
Also learning to contract muscle properly and get it fatigued is most important!

My knees are fine on squats and leg presses. And my back!!!

But I do not do dead lifts at all anymore!!!
They kill my Lower back and hips!!!
Knees too, even light.
I have bad back and neck car accidents reputed bulging discs. It's dead lifts I can't touch!!!

My squats I hit #190 and do 10x10. The way I view it is the total weight lifted. My total weight lifted on my squats is #19,000. I’m 5’6” and currently weigh #178 so I’m happy with my low weight and high reps. If I increased my weight and hit lower reps I wouldn’t hit as high of a total.

You can chime in on my thread any time you want. The participation makes it interesting. I agree with ya about the weight! I never liked squats, but I did em anyway. Got some pr's last cycle. Not worth the risk anymore though, Imo

I am opposite, I love squats always have!!
It's dead lifts I gave up on!!

When my knees bother me on squats my form is off.
Putting a 1/2" board or a weight under front of feet help put more pressure on heels, relief then at knees!!

I got to keep back straight but bend only in hips and squat butt down more, focus on that gives form that pressure is off knees.

When u feel that in my knees my form needs adjustment

Lol!
As I said the squats I am good but dead lifts, nope!!
My elbows suffer.
I get i pain from elbow to shoulder when flexing my bicep.
I can't do it most of the time lately from top normal bicep flex. It's I pain that is almost impossible to flex them most of time.
Sucks
