This is the Coan-Phillipi cycle I was talking about: Tsampa.org: Coan-Phillipi 10 Week Deadlift Routine

Its a deadlift 1x/week program but since I would be using it as a specialisation routine I might consider running it 2-3x/week for a 3 week mesocycle then reducing it to 1x/week for another 3 week mesocycle, effectively giving myself a deload.

hm maybe you can do that, but it's a shitload of work, especially the speed work.

Maybe you can do the Ortmayer deadlift routine. Take a look at it.

I've done a Smolov Jr deadlift program, I fear not the volume.

(Well actually I do, but I survived last time :p)

Also, D/L'd the Ortmayer program and will look into it, it has scary +8 reps schemes though. :bitenails:

Do you even have enough plates for that kind of insanity?

300kg deadlift. It's so out of my league that it would be really inspiring to be an spectator. I'm with you freako.

Deadlifts (no belt)
5 x 3 x 160kg
Raw, fast and easy.

Squats (no belt)
Worked up to an ugly 180kg single. Fell forward a bit when I came out of the whole and strained my left quad a little too. I'm a bit disappointed because 170kg was easy.

Looked very easy for you. I have the same problem benting forward, which sucks ans I don't know how to solve.

300kg deads maybe be possible, but even If you won't achieve that, after one year of specialization you will have at least a 270-280kg deadlift, which is great!

incase u needed any more motivation

quote from the 12-11-2008
Don't we all... 300kg on the deads I mean :xmascrunk:

When I can get 2 x bw for bench, 2.5 x bw for squats and 3 x bw for deads I'll be a very happy camper. At current bw (85kg) that's 170/212.5/255... might be a little while longer I think. :xmaseek3ugh:

quote from the 12-11-2008

Way to remind me how much weight I've gained and how much my lifts haven't improved. :p

Adjusted goals would be: 195kg bench, 240kg squat, 280kg deadlift... or I could lose some weight.
