Started Smolov Jr today, I decided to follow Tunen's advice and stagger bench a few days behind deads.

Today
Deadlifts
6 x 6 x 137.5kg (easy peasy)

Crunches
3 x 30

Leg Raises on Dip Bars
3 x 15 x 5kg

A very small session today. Tomorrow I will do deads, chins and calf-raises.

No straps or belt. A bit more difficult but no real problem, my lowerback was totally fried afterwards though.

ouch no belt. i normally go no belt until my higher weights, then it just kills the lower back to much.
i feel ya on the pullups. days i do them first i can get into the teens with reps, and when i do deads first its a miracle if i get to 10

Deadlifts

Still no belt or straps used, I'm wondering how far I can get without them. Tomorrow will be the real test with 10 sets of 3. My lower back is feeling extra tight tonight.

Bench Press
6 x 6 x 105kg
This was surprisingly difficult, especially the last set. I attribute it to being exhausted already from deads. I might try and split the 2 exercises up tomorrow, deads before work and bench on my lunch break, and see how I fare then.

Nice workout there man. those deads are solid, esp with no straps and without a belt. great presses as well
