I have missed quite a few sessions some how sorry mate, I didnt realise you were back, bench is heavy as always alot of reps as well bet your pump was good, alot of volume in the whole session

Tweak - The session felt pretty good but I'm still not impressed with my weights yet. Hopefully since I've put up 300 before I can be doing it for working sets by the end of the month when I get back up there :ughfingers:

FF - Thanks, bro. I just came back fairly recently and am finally getting consistent with my training again. Glad you stopped by.

BB - Yeah, volume is pretty high but I'm starting to try and focus on doing more working sets with my higher weights than doing more exercises in general. Weights are finally starting to get there, can't wait to start catching up to you again, LOL.

TO - I was happy with the exercise selection and how I was feeling, even though I usually hate incline bench. I'll be sure to check out your session and see how you fared. I appreciate the post as always.

Here we go. Glex has been feeling under the weather so I went out and did legs late-night style because I woke up late and wanted to get some meals in. It's gone from 66 down to 20 degrees (Fahrenheit) since Saturday here so the gym wasn't very crowded because people here are generally pussies. Anyways, here's what tonight brought...


Date: 12.4.06

Time: 11:10 pm

Duration: 50 minutes


Legs
BB Squats
Set #1 - 135 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 315 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 365 pounds x 6 reps


Hack Squats
Set #1 - 180 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 270 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 320 pounds x 8 reps


...back was a little tight, so no SLDL's...

Seated Leg Curls (16 total settings)
Set #1 - Setting #8 x 12 reps
Set #2 - Setting #10 x 8 reps
Set #3 - Setting #10 x 8 reps
Set #4 - Setting #10 x 8 reps
Set #5 - Setting #6 x 20 reps


Standing Calf Raises
Set #1 - 175 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 215 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 235 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 155 pounds x 12 reps



...and that's all for tonight. Really weird thing happened, on my first set of Squats, both my quads cramped up really funnny. Not like they were dehyrdated, but more like sharp pain across the whole quadriceps complex. I stretched it out and waited a little longer to get fully warmed up before continuing and I felt fine throughout the rest of my session. I'm happy that my strength is coming back overall so next time I may bang out some reps with 405 if I'm feeling it. Also, I am finally getting a sturdy powerlifting belt come Christmas so this should definitely help out my heavy squats and deads.

astonishing numbers your putting up after such a lay off, quite scary actually. If you stayed consistent for a year I dont even wanna know what kind of gains you could make :skurred:

Tweakums - Hopefully I'll be nothing but consistent for awhile now. I really want to be able to squat 500 by year's end so we'll see just how quickly my strength continues to rebound. Also, we'll be seeing some SLDL's once my powerlifting belt comes and my back can hold-up through an entire workout.

Mak - I actually thought about doing 405 for a single or double during that workout but I was training by myself and didn't want to list it. You'll definitely be seeing some working sets with 4 plates coming up soon though :xyxthumbs:

...and that's all for tonight. The session went pretty well minus a few misteps. My back felt pretty good despite that slight twinge on my one set and I don't think that'll be much of an issue when I get my heavy-duty belt. As for Glex, he "accidently" came close to pushing me off the seated bench with the 100 pound DBs. Oh well, no harm no foul. Next time I'll go back to attempting the 110's and hopefully I'll be banging them out for a working set of 8. Since the gym was closing while we were finishing up, I'll go in for a session of traps/calves tomorrow.

damn dude, I thought I did well on deadlift today then I come in here and now I hate you :tear: That weight is flippin huge I did not expect that at all

Good Db Rows, those need to improve though dammit, you cannot be weaker in anything then me, I expect better out of you :no:

As always those presses are of monsterous proportions, but I better see those 110s next session, hell, you got 8 of those? I expect 115lbs very shortly then, no excuses either dammit. I dont care if you only get 4 of them

Nice lateral raises for the finish, crazy good weight on those as well and I like that drop set in particularly.

All around another superb and fantastic showing by the one and only Joe :spy:

I'm still petrified as to where your going to be a month from now :skurred:

big deads mate even though you couldnt make the 455 always next time I wouldnt worry about it still very immpressive
