Props on that Deadlift man! You said to excpect big things, and you delivered, awesome session mate! I'm amazed at the kind of poundages you were lifting after the heavy deads, now thats hardcore! :hsughr:

P.s. Maybe next time you are feeling like maxing on Deadlift, you could try to jump straight from 495 to 525? If, as you said, you got it off the floor (Which you beleive to be the hardest part for you) i'm sure you'll be-able to acheive it! Good luck with it anyway m8, hope to see that number lifted in the near future in your log :xyxthumbs:

Paulie - LOL, thanks for the compliments but if you check out Glex's log and watch the "Charlie the Unicorn" video you'll see just how delirious I was. As for cardio, I'll do some this weekend when I go home :spy:

Evo - Yeah, I was ready to pack it in and tried to talk Glex out of doing biceps and calves (but coming back the next day of course) but he wouldn't hear of it and I wasn't about to be outdone. I'm glad I was able to power through and words like yours certainly help.

[Many Adjectives]Paul - Thanks for the kind words. To be honest I didn't plan on trying 525 at all because my previous max was 500. However, after I got 515 up really easily I decided to go up for the hell of it.

UPDATE: Just smashed Chest/Shoulders/Tris with Glex and I think it was a session you guys will enjoy.

Today's session was a good one, probably because I was wearing flannel again. I'm really considering buying some shirts and cutting out the sleeves this summer because it's arguably the most comfortable thing ever. Anyways, I wanted to up my bench a little bit and after doing 315 for doubles last time I figured I could probably bump up my max a bit. Here's how it played out...

Date: 3.25.07

Time: 8:15 pm

Duration: 1 hr 20 min

Chest
Flat BB Bench
Set #1 - 135 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 225 pounds x 5 reps
Set #3 - 275 pounds x 2 reps
Set #4 - 315 pounds x 1 rep
Set #5 - 335 pounds x 0 reps (Fail)
Set #6 - 335 pounds x 1 rep...PB

Incline DB Press
Set #1 - 100 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 110 pounds x 12 reps

Shoulders
Seated DB Press
Set #1 - 100 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 110 pounds x 6 reps
Set #3 - 110 pounds x 4 reps

DB Lateral Raises Superset with Rear Delt Raises
Set #1 - 30 pounds x 12 reps AND 30 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 30 pounds x 12 reps AND 30 pounds x 12 reps

BB Shrugs
Set #1 - 315 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 405 pounds x 6 reps
Set #3 - 405 pounds x 6 reps

Triceps
Rope Pushdowns
Set #1 - 120 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 120 pounds x 12 reps

Hammer Strength Dips
Set #1 - 360 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 360 pounds x 10 reps...PB
Set #3 - 360 pounds x 10 reps

...and that's all for today. I sort of figured going into the day that I was going put up a new max bench and was actually a little surprised when I didn't get it up on the first attempt based on how good I was feeling. Overall my strength felt great today and I can't wait until tomorrow.

Until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

Huge numbers Lineo, but then again you already know that. It still amazes/pisses me off how much weight you can do on your shoulders after you chest workout.

BB - That all means a lot coming from someone as strong as you. Hopefully that bench and shoulder presses will keep climbing even while I lose weight.

Paulie - Thanks, buddy. Short and sweet :xyxthumbs:

I did not mean "sweet" in a gay way.

Chesty - I really have no idea how I maintain my strength but you certainly won't hear me complain. Back in the day I used to do much, much more volume so I think that even though I used to burnout back then I can keep going now. Oh, and thanks for the quote :food-snacking:

FF - Thanks bro, glad to see you back in the log section.

UPDATE: Not 100% sure on training yet tonight. I have a badly scratched up heal which hurts to walk in shoes, let alone training legs with. Also, the same ankle has been giving me trouble today but if all feels well in a little bit expect a good leg and back session in here. Thanks for stopping by

I like how you attempted 335 again after failing. Congrats on that PM.

Those shoulder presses are impressive after already doing bench.

Awesome couple of sessions there bro, you are surely going to be to 350lb on bench:disgust: .

Great work on those deadlifts as well, your strength is going through the roof buddy.:xyxthumbs:

nice personal best on that bench :xyxthumbs:

I'm much more impressed with that fact you hit such a huge amount of weight on inclines for 12 reps at that :eek4:

Plus the regular shoulder presses are massive, your muscular endurance was really showing through this session. Great work topping it off with that PB on the hammer strength dip machine.

great work Joey poo :gaygay:

damn Line 365 is great glad that after the first attempt you didn't just quit and went after it again. Incline presses must have been tough after bench but you still got heavy weights up

:hsughr: Yeah Line!!!:hsughr:

Excellent work on both your flat bench and your deads. So are you now in the 500 club for both squats and deadlifts? Thank you for setting the pace for me, my friend:2:

Flex - I actually didn't like the path the bar was taking on the first attempt so I was pretty sure I could nail it the second time. That and I did some meth :xyxthumbs:

Pumba - LOL, I'm not really trying to beat you, just trying to get stronger. Thanks for the kind words.

Tim - :2:

Tweak - I remember telling Glex I wanted to go lighter and do more reps on incline and I immediately picked up the 100's and busted out 12 pretty easily. I really wasn't expecting it at all! Thanks as always for the kind words, they mean a lot.

Natureboy - Ha, thanks but I don't know about 400 anytime soon. Just trying to take things one step at a time.

Paulie - We took a day off because my heal and ankle were pretty fucked. I ended up taking a 2 mile walk last night around 12:30 and things felt good enough to go today.

Fallen - Good to see you back in here bro, but silly Messicans can't read; it was 335, not 365 :hello:

CJU - Yeah, the bench has been going up and up and thanks for the congratulations. Glad you stopped in.

onebigE - Glad I could inspire you and you the same for me. I actually hit 500 on deads a week or two ago but I couldn't let you get away with beating me by 15 pounds ;)

UPDATE: Trained legs/back/bis with Glex tonight. Will be up shortly.

So today was a real test because immediately when I walked into the locker area of the gym's building it felt like it was hot as balls. Sure enough, by the time we made it down the hallway to the gym doors I knew we were in for hell. Still, I remember back in highschool training in an old dungeon of a gym that was small as hell and very hot so this took me back to the good ol' days...

Date: 3.27.07

Time: 9:10 pm

Duration: 1 hr 25 min

Legs
Front Squats
Set #1 - 135 pounds x 3 reps
Set #2 - 185 pounds x 3 reps
Set #3 - 225 pounds x 3 reps
Set #4 - 275 pounds x 3 reps
Set #5 - 295 pounds x 3 reps
Set #6 - 315 pounds x 3 reps...PB
Set #7 through #10 - 335 pounds x 3 reps...PB

Seated Hamstring Curls (16 total settings)
Set #1 - Setting #8 x 20 reps
Set #2 - Setting #10 x 15 reps
Set #3 - Setting #10 x 15 reps
Set #4 - Setting #10 x 15 reps

Back
Pullups
Set #1 - Bodyweight x 8 reps
Set #2 - BW x 8 reps
Set #3 - BW x 8 reps

BB Rows
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 255 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 275 pounds x 6 reps...PB

Biceps
Alt. DB Curls
Set #1 - 40 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 50 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 50 pounds x 8 reps

...and that's all for today. I was covered in sweat about halfway through the Front Squats and things didn't get much easier from there. The Hamstring Curls for high reps were hell and the BB Rows weren't much easier. I downed a bunch of fast carbs after the session and drank it in the shower because I was sweating too much to hangout in my room right after the session.

That's all for now, until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:
