That is an awesome session, huge respectable weight. Squats and Deadlifts in the same day is just hardcore, and you busted out 405 on both of them, thats awesome. How'd you like the spider curls? I like going heavier with them cause I really feel it then, the contraction is great. Contract, contract.

Wow, two sets of 405 x 8 deadlifts after an entire leg session. Very nice. I like.

You're bulking right now, right Line? or are you still "slowly" dieting.

Paulie - Thanks for the kind words. To be honest, I liked spider curls but was so worn out from everything else I really couldn't give them my all. I'll have to give them another shot before if I decide if they'll find a way permanently into my rotation or not. LOL at the "contract".

Flex - Yeah, I was actually dry-heaving after the first set but was able to keep things down. I might try to pull 500 again next session. And yes, believe it or not I'm actually cutting right now. I've basically cleaned up my diet and am taking in less calories. I'm not at the point where I'm planning out all my macronutrients or anything but I've lost a few pounds as of now and will actually start doing cardio ( :disgust: ) shortly.

I'll give him some huge credit for pairing deads and squats, with their respective crazy weight, together in the same workout. Cutting to boot makes it even more impressive, Line. You keep pushing the pace, and I'll keep working on keeping up:xyxthumbs:

Oh, and I'm sorry for not having been in for the last little bit:duh::no:

FF - LOL, I'm not trying to put anyone to shame, just trying to do my thing. You've got nothing to be ashamed about, bro.

CJU - Ha, thanks but I'm still not that lean or calorie depleted. To be honest though I don't usually lose strength at all though, even when cutting as long as I keep training.

Paulie - Jealous :gaygay:

onebigE - No need to apologize at all for not having been in here, I'm sure you've got some bigger things in your life than my log, LOL. I always appreciate the inspiring words though, thanks again.

Evo - Thanks a lot, brother. To be honest I'm still really feeling it today so I'm really crossing my fingers I'll be ready to go again tomorrow :ughfingers:

[Many Adjectives]Paul - Yeah, I usually change up SLDLs or Hack Squats but during that session I was just feeling good and decided to knock out both at the same time. Feels great today :49:

UPDATE: Had another great session with Glex today. Will try to get it up soon but it might be sometime later tonight.

Heavy ass weights, more working sets than usual, and finishing in the same amount of time as usual = one happy Line...

BB - Thanks, Ben. That session felt great and I think I'll attempt a new max bench sometime soon...gotta bust out the flannel for that though :spy:

Natureboy - Will do, boss :xyxthumbs:

Chesty - Ah, Kent Brockman! Haven't used him in awhile :49:

Glad you liked the shrugs and flat bench. I was really feeling great yesterday and I'm happy the numbers showed that.

[Many Adjectives]Paul - Thanks a lot of the kind words...check out the deads below.

Today was exhausting. It lasted a little longer than usual because, as you can see, I was really trying to push myself on deads and wanted enough rest between sets. After that the pace picked up a little bit but about 2/3 of the way through I was losing my mind (ask Glex). Still, some good numbers so check it out...

Date: 3.23.07

Time: 7:15 pm

Duration: 1 hr 45 min

BB Deadlift Singles
Set #1 - 225 pounds
Set #2 - 315 pounds
Set #3 - 405 pounds
Set #4 - 455 pounds
Set #5 - 495 pounds
Set #6 - 515 pounds...PB
Set #7 - 525 pounds (failed)

Hack Squats
Set #1 - 180 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 270 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 360 pounds x 8 reps...PB
Set #4 - 360 pounds x 8 reps

Seated Leg Curls (16 total settings)
Set #1 - Setting #12 x 10 reps
Set #2 - Setting #12 x 10 reps
Set #3 - Setting #12 x 10 reps

Single-Leg Leg Press
Set #1 - 360 pounds x 10 reps (per leg)
Set #2 - 360 pounds x 15 reps (per leg)

Close-Grip Pulldowns
Set #1 - 180 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 210 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 210 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 120 pounds x 20 reps...lightweight!

BB Curls
Set #1 - 95 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 95 pounds x 12 reps
Set #3 - 75 pounds x 15 reps

Standing Machine Calf Raises
Set #1 - 375 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 375 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 395 pounds x 8 reps (whole stack)
Set #4 - 395 pounds x 8 reps

...and that's all for today. I really felt tired throughout the workout and wanted to stop early but Glex wanted to keep going so I wasn't going to let him outdo me. I'm thrilled about the 515 deadlift and oddly wasn't even unhappy about not being about to do 525. In fact, I was able to get it off the ground (which is the hardest part for me usually) but couldn't complete the rep. Oh well, there's always next time.

Speaking of next time, until then: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

Excellent session!! You keep getting stronger quicker and quicker. You didnt seem tired based on the numbers you put up. The BB Curls are amazing, and one legged presses are superb. You do really excellent with your big compound exercises. Keep it up, but I would like to see a little more cardio in some of your sessions, lol.

Tremendous effort Brother Line. Natural strength is evidently powering you through these sessions.

More amazing numbers and P.B's too. Awesome stuff, considering you were fatigued. Props to Glex for wanting to keep going and props to you for your determination in not being out done. Sometimes training partners are a must!!

Supreme work mate, peerless from top to bottom.
