Flannel is awesome; one of my favorite BB pics was of Milos doing insane deads wearing a black-and-red shirt of said texture.

Excellent squat for sure, Line. Meh on the form critique; looked fine to me.

Oh, and :49:@ tweak; sorry Base:)

FF - Thanks, I was actually going what I thought was fairly light on the SLDL's in order to get my form down properly. Might have to step it up.

Glex - You have no idea how long that felt (the stall...not anything that could be construed as "gay stuff") :49:

Glad you're here to give me credit for the smooth 500 rep :xyxthumbs:

Fallen - After the success of Mexican filmmakers this past year I might have to take you up on that offer :e5dunno:

Thanks for the encouragement as always.

[Many adjectives]Paul - The feeling of a PB like that is like no other, isn't it? Congrats on yours as well and thanks for the comments on mine.

Max-OT
- It's really a landmark I never thought I'd reach anytime soon, even as recently as a month ago so the feeling is incredible.

Chesty - You better believe that after I diet down, those sleeves are coming off! :49:

Tim - I can say for certain that the 500 pound deadlift was much more painful than the squat. I know you've had some technical problems with your videos but would still like to see some if you can work that out. Always glad to see your posts in here.

BB - Thanks for the kind words because I'm at a point in my training I really didn't think I'd be at and it's really indescribable. Hopefully it'll continue while through my slow, gradual diet.

Pumba - Means a lot coming from you, man. I seriously pushed myself really hard because I knew you were working your ass off down under. Oh, and I think there's a direct correlation between our being able to squat 500 pounds and us both liking flannel :e5dunno:

Tweak - The only problem I can see is that my knees bend forward slightly which causes it to appear as if my ROM isn't as great as it could be. As for the heals thing, I really don't think it's an every-rep thing for me; I just have a tendency to worry about falling backwards on really heavy sets which is something I'll be looking out for in the future.

Paulie - No, I'm not a fan of Larry the Cable Guy

I appreciate the compliments on my weights but I really didn't lean that far forward...although maybe the slight lean is why I got stuck :e5dunno:

onebigE - Thanks for the comments on the form, I also think it was "acceptable" especially when considering the weight. I'm sure my average working sets are slightly better looking but I have a fairly narrow stance so it's tough to go too-too low...plus I don't trust Glex :spy:

UPDATE: I really appreciate all the comments and feedback from everyone. Right now I'm at home on Spring Break and basically lounging about and spending a lot of time with my family. I've eaten fairly well since getting home and have trained twice and even done a session of cardio for 45 min today :eek4:

Also, I was picked to be the Co-Best Man in my best friend's (since second grade) wedding in Disney World so that's a great honor and hopefully I get to nail some bridesmaids.

Tomorrow (or later today I suppose since it's 3am here) I will hit a gym in town with my lifting buddy from highschool. It turns out that my mom is willing to pay for a few day-passes for the gym while I'm home; I guess that's a perk of having a PE Teacher for a mother.

That's all for now, until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

LOL, there's not much to post. I did 45 minutes of cardio and then rested up, had a shake did really basic stuff for legs/back/bis. I'm really limited in my basement so I just took everything for high-reps until I can get into a gym to do legs on Thursday. I basically did a lot of reps (like 180 total) on leg extensions and leg curls and then threw in two sets of lunges for 15 reps per leg (I only have dumbbells that go up to 20 pounds :tear: ). After that I did pulldowns with my stack (no place to do pullups) and two sets of BB Rows. Finally I did three sets (back-to-back-to-back) of DB Preacher Curls.

Like I said, not much, just trying to keep getting sessions in regardless of what I have with me.

Evo - Everything is is A-Okay but I appreciate the concern. I was at home over break and only getting in some minor sessions but tonight Glex and I were able to train at school as usual. Hope you like what you see.

CC - The wedding is in the Summer of '08 :e5dunno:

CJU - Genetics, LOL. Thanks for stopping by as usual.

Glex - Eh, trying to slim down for highschool girls :spy:

UPDATE: Trained Chest/Shoulders/Tris tonight with Glex...results coming soon.

Back from my week long spring break. I actually did get some training in while home but nothing too hardcore; just took it easy so it was more like a deloading week. I was happy with my strength during today's session though so here goes...

Date: 3.19.07

Time: 9:40 pm

Duration: 1 hr 15 min

Chest
Flat BB Bench
Set #1 - 135 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 275 pounds x 4 reps
Set #4 - 275 pounds x 4 reps
Set #5 - 275 pounds x 5 reps

Incline DB Bench
Set #1 - 100 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 110 pounds x 8 reps

Shoulders
Seated DB Shoulder Press
Set #1 - 100 pounds x 6 reps
Set #2 - 100 pounds x 7 reps
Set #3 - 100 pounds x 7 reps

DB Side Laterals
Set #1 - 35 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 35 pounds x 12 reps

BB Shrugs
Set #1 - 315 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 8 reps

Triceps
Pushdowns
Set #1 - 120 pounds x 15 reps
Set #2 - 120 pounds x 15 reps

DB Skullcrushers
Set #1 - 40 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 45 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 45 pounds x 8 reps

...and that's it for today. I know I've said this a million times but it felt great to be back in a real gym. I didn't really get to train at home with my workout partner from highschool due to conflicting schedules so getting back up here and hitting it with Glex was a good way to get back into the swing of things. Not much else to say so I guess, until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

Interesting how you achieved more reps in bench press and shoulder presses as time went on. Impressive numbers, go me!

Huge inclines man, I don't know how you back it up on your shoulders so well, my weight suffered hugely today on mine.

Grandpa: "Quick, we must kill the boy!"
Lisa: "How'd you know he was a vampire?"
Grandpa: "His a vampire? AHHHH!!!!"

Flex - Glad you stopped in; we sure are awesome :2:

Evo - Always appreciate your responses and hopefully I'll be able to crack out the 110's again on shoulder presses like I did a while back.

Chesticles - For some reason my shoulder strength has been able to hold up pretty well even after chest work. I'm not sure why to be honest, but I'm sure as hell not complaining. Oh, and Abe Simpson is easily one of the most underrated characters on The Simpsons :49:

BB - I remember Tim saying awhile back that upright rows didn't really hit the target muscles the way they're perceived to and I've sort of strayed away from them since. Plus, Glex and I both have had some shoulder annoyances in the past so we're just sticking to other movements. I appreciate the kind words and the question though, it's always good to see you in here :xyxthumbs:

Natureboy - Thanks man. It means a lot that you don't have a log yourself but still find time to stop in here.

UPDATE:
Glex and I just put in a brutal session that will be up shortly.

Today's session was brutal. We started out moving pretty quick and got more sets in than usual despite spending about the same amount of time in the gym. Here goes...

Date: 3.20.07

Time: 10:10 pm

Duration: 1 hr 25 min

Legs
BB Squats
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 6 reps
Set #3 - 405 pounds x 5 reps
Set #4 - 405 pounds x 5 reps

Seated Leg Curls (16 total settings)
Set #1 - Setting #10 x 12 reps
Set #2 - Setting #14 x 8 reps
...too heavy
Set #3 - Setting #12 x 8 reps
Set #4 - Setting #12 x 8 reps

Single-Legged Leg Press (reps are for each leg)
Set #1 - 450 pounds x 6 reps
Set #2 - 340 pounds x 10 reps
Set #3 - 340 pounds x 15 reps

Standing Machine Calf Raises
Set #1 - 355 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 355 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 355 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 355 pounds x 8 reps

Back
BB Deads
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 6 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 6 reps
Set #3 - 405 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 405 pounds x 8 reps

Pullups
Set #1 - Bodyweight x 8 reps
Set #2 - BW x 8 reps
Set #3 - BW x 8 reps

Biceps
Spider Curls with EZ Bar (first time)
Set #1 - 65 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 65 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 65 pounds x 8 reps

...and that's it for today. I can't wait for the much needed rest day tomorrow because I felt beat to hell about halfway through our sets of deadlifts. Still, it felt like a great session overall and I know I'll be feeling that tomorrow.

That's it for now, until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:
