Re: * Official 2011 Mr. Olympia thread*

Dont get me wrong dilated, I agree compound moves are essential for muscle building, but isolation work is way more important since you are a bodybuilder. isolation is the key while supported by compound moves like squat, bb rows and deadlifts.

I see what you mean but i didnt mean exclussively compound lifting. I think compound lifting is the best and then include accessory lifting for any benifits there are to getting more blood in a specific muscle and pumping up. What im saying is, u look at phil heaths recent training videos as well as jays (for the last few years) they started doing more (or going back to) compound lifting. While Charles glass removes almost all compound lifts in his training. Also in a recent Guy Cisternino radio session he mentioned how he managed to put on 10+lbs on his small frame and he said he just went back to doing compound basic movements as opposed to the isolation stuff and he came out better then ever.

I don't think VIc would place really high, but I don't think he's behind in his prep. He's holding WATER in his back, I don0t think is big deal...

EDIT: he's 2 weeks out, not 6.... ouch!

anyone is thinking the same thing that i'm thinking?

Looks like Kai has been playing in some good amounts of SEO to improve his "not blessed" bodyparts.... traps and shoulders...

shame.

----

Look at this post by BFG on get big Forums :

More info on another popular "guru," Oscar Arden.

Oscar got popular with the success of Kai Greene, and with that attention got a couple of other big names to work with him such as Evan Centopani.

Oscar's drug protocol for contest prep revolves around 3 key points:

1) 1-2 high insulin days every week - insulin is dramatically reduced for 5-6 days of the week but 1-2 days of the week are basically stuffing as many carbs down and slamming as much insulin as possible, all day. Ever notice how in all of Kai Greene's photos leading up to a contest his distention is out of control? Direct result of this. Same reason why all of Chad Nichols' clients get bad distention.

2) heavy emphasis of orals, especially anadrol - big believer in using anadrol right up to contest time to stay full. Greene is notorious for his gluttony with abombs.

3) high doses of all peptides - the more is better concept, basically just to cover all the bases possible. Every pro uses PGF, MGF, IGF, etc because even though they dont have a huge effect every guy wants as much of an edge as possible. Arden is a firm believer in upping the dosage especially with MGF and IGF, used in a synergistic cycle. gh stays very high too, 20+ iu's.

Word is Kai has been hitting the SEO's hard and dramatically increased the local IGF injections in the delts and traps to bring up his two most glaring weaknesses. Look for kai to show up at the Olympia with noticeable improvements in those areas, but still too watery and bloated.

^^ Well, it might be SEO, but take a look at the position of his arms, you must Flex your traps to pose like that.

Anyway, I love how MM is getting into anabolics! ;)

lol I trolled you with the 6 weeks out post haha. It was sarcastic cus its getting annoying year after year to hear comments like "don't count me out" or "I'm more conditioned this year this far out, than I was last year" or other posts from different nuthuggers like on MD for example, where they always hope that a lot can happen in 2 weeks, and Vic may be ready on stage and so on.

IMO he will never be on the same level of condition with guys like Phil, Kai, Jay, Dex, Branch etc. and that's sad because he has a great structure and lines and could have been a great Mr O.
