Official Film Discussion and Last Movie You Watched

i watched Saw 5 Friday at my camp cause the first time i watched it i fell asleep at the beginning. i had a fifth of crown and i was alone i thought it was one of the best Saw movies IMO. i really liked it and its not because of the fifth that i drank.

Yes I agree completely! I was happy with the movie up until

it had the "Oh it was only a dream" ending. It would have been a good film that way. But as it was it made the whole movie superficial. If they were going to have that dream sequence they actually needed to make it obvious that it was a dream (exposition, clues like say the room being girly with horses on the wall and not in real life, or say have him looking at his daughter asleep then the sequence with obvious set/staging differences (colours or something) and then back to reality with him standing there.

And as for it being a trilogy, I can see that. But I doubt it will happen now. Not unless it does well on DVD as it was only breakeven box office. I'd be interested in it as a series of films. I think it probably didn't do as well as it could have because of Kevin Costner's bad rep over the last 10yrs.

Agreed about the dream sequence. I mean I can see why they did it, I'd actually like to see another film or two exploring the possibilities with Brooks and his daughter. But like you said Costner hasn't made a decent movie since I was in primary school, so how can you expect to get a trilogy out of a movie the majority of people won't see simply because Costner is the main star? Hurt's performance as Marshall was great to.

I'd strongly suggest the Dexter series if you liked this movie, well if you don't already watch it that is. Oh and I almost forgot, Dane Cook getting beat to death with a shovel = awesome

It was decent with some good funny laughs, worth the watch
i enjoyed it from the start but towards the end i felt it somewhat died, thats just my opinion tho.

It was a gritty movie. Shaky camera or not, alot of messed up things happened during that film. Alot of people had a problem with the blair witch being shaky, I never really found it a problem. I didn't even notice the camera movement in felon after a while.

I guess he needs to actually act now that he is getting older and cant keep doing martial arts in his movies. The part where he talked to the camera was his best performance in his whole career.
