I found the overall event to be extremely satisfying. Nog and especially Mir (he's back!!!:hsughr:) made my night; everything else was icing on the cake.

It was a good event.. only one (questionable) decision from the TV fights... 4 great submissions and an awesome KO. One of the best shows in a while.

^^No doubt. Seeing Timmah tap after two seconds or so and the reaction on Dana's face was worth the price of admission alone. Sylvia did look better in the first than he has in a long time though; here's to hoping he actually learns from that and continues to work on being a genuine fighter.

Edit- Your avatar is freaking hilarious by the way, JS:49:

I for one am fairly stoked for UFC 82. Silva and Hendo will make my night by far, but I'm also looking forward to seeing Diego back in again.

Having Fitch fight a pocket can makes no sense unless it ends up being a bookmark for him to fight the winner of GSP and Serra.

I see absolutely no point in Kongo and Herring. Cheick is coming off a decent-ish win over Mirko and Herring has done nothing but lose in the UFC. I have no idea why this is even happening.

WAR TANNER!!!!!! I'm extremely stoked to see Evan back, but running headfirst into someone like Okami will be rough to say the least. This fight makes my #2, just slightly behind Silva and Hendo.

Arlovski will rape O'Brien, seeing as how Jake can only attempt lay and pray for the most part in the UFC (see Herring, which was a painfully boring fight to watch). Andre will serve him a steaming place of KTFO early in the first, unless another crappy upset occurs. In the case of such....he'll do it in the second. Jake has a history of KO's and TKO's, but he seems hesitant to let loose nowadays; not that he will be able to survive with Andre at all where standup is concerned.

Watch for Gurgel to be focused on a finish after his recent loss to Alvin Robinson, Koscheck to be cocky/moronic as ever (although Dustin is a bad matchup for him; maybe I'll be plesantly surprised), and Cummo to dominate again.

I'm honestly looking forward to every fight (even Kongo/Herring, as I'm basically mystified to see what else could happen with this seemingly pointless fight) on the card, which hasn't happened in awhile.

the fact that arlovski is on the undercard just further proves how full of shit the ufc is.

They put LEBEN on the main card, but not arlovski, sanchez, or koscheck. :jerkoff1:

When did Royce Gracie get his ass kicked by Matt Hughes? Anybody see that, I think it was sometime last week.

with the exception of the hendo/anderson fight and jon fitchs', the rest of the fights on the main card should be swapped with the ones on the under card.

Because Im going to be pissed if they dont get televised

I believe you just caught an episode of UFC Unleashed Paulie, which is a great program that digs up various fights from the past. I feel it's a saving grace in answer to the legions of TUF/MMA n00bs that have popped up in recent years, in that the structure of the show actually gives said people an opportunity to develop an education concerning the sport itself.

Thank you for the Gono reminder, CC:xyxthumbs: I knew the Fitch fight was off for a reason, but I just couldn't quite dig up what it was. Thank you for the Mir link as well; he's an awesome dude (with a hot wife) who's bandwagon I've happily plugged for years. It's nice to see him fully back:hsughr:
