That will be the next Flexonline's vid on him if I'm not mistaken. I think he mentioned about it on twitter once.

edit: yep twitter it was

Legs are toast. I killed them today and @FLEX_Magazine will have it posted online soon. Now time to get some food in.

because he suffers from hip related problems for years. the imbalance doesn't come into play in the smith machine.

I guess also training 10 days out from a contest and being depleted he doest want to risk an injury.Besides its not like your gaining any muscle at this point. His joints are probably killin him right now.

Yes, because squatting in a Smith machine = less force on joints!

:lie:

I would imagine it to be hard mentally to go under squat bar when you are depleted and have joint pain, etc. Also it probably wont make a bit difference at this point out if his doing smith machine squats wouldnt you agree?

edit:Welcome back Coach!

VIDEO: JOSE RAYMOND PREPS FOR THE 202 SHOWDOWN
Jose Raymond took 9th place in the 2009 202 Showdown. While it's in the top 10 — an impressive feat at the most competitive bodybuilding show on the planet — there's still ground to cover for the 35-year-old IFBB Pro League athlete from Massachusetts.

Raymond, six weeks out from the 202 Showdown, trained at Gold's Venice in California. As you'll see in the video, you can't say he isn't focused, but will he bring enough of a package to take down last year's champ Kevin English, '08 winner David Henry or a number of up-and-comers all out to make a name for themselves in the 202 division? We'll find out September 24-25 in Las Vegas.
