I turn 18 November 29th, 2008.

I actually talked to my history teacher a bit about the election. I respect him a lot and he's certainly intelligent, but he said Ron Paul had absolutely no chance at winning. I told him about how popular Ron Paul is beginning to become, and he basically said I was crazy...he probably only watches Fox news; didn't seem to know anything about Paul. *sigh*

If you wanted some ammo to respond to him or what not, I'd be more than happy to help.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't have him anymore. This happened 3 months ago (last June) shortly before school ended. I don't really have a chance to talk to him anymore.

Maybe if my current history teacher starts a political debate, though. :xyxthumbs:

but he said Ron Paul had absolutely no chance at winning.
The funny thing about that is if there is absolutely no chance of him winning, it's only because people believe that. Once again, people listening too much to the media.

Media #1: "Shit, we can't allow this guy to get in office. What do we do?"

Media #2: "We'll tell people he has no chance of winning, they'll believe us"

Media #1: "Yeah, Americans are stupid. They'll pick who we want them to pick"

Los Angeles enthusiastically received Ron Paul yesterday!

The fundraising reception in the morning was a great success. It was held at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena and tickets were $500 per person. Sold out!

After the breakfast, Dr. Paul went to a nearby university. He met with a group of students and press. He then spoke at a rally outside on campus. A police officer estimated the crowd to be between 700-900 people. They cheered Dr. Paul time and time again. Students and professors in the surrounding buildings had windows opened and listened too.

After the rally, Dr. Paul attended a fundraising reception on campus. Tickets were $500 per person for the event. Sold out!

Yesterday evening, Dr. Paul attended a fundraising dinner at the home of Bill Johnson. Tickets were $2,000 per person. Sold out!

Dr. Paul and staff then traveled to San Francisco arriving about 1:00 am this morning. It will be another busy day.

It’s been an amazing few days to be a supporter of Ron Paul and freedom. Our successful events in the San Francisco Bay Area, along with your generous online donations, made yesterday far and away our most successful fundraising day in campaign history. On behalf of Dr. Paul and everyone in campaign headquarters – Thank You for keeping our momentum going!

I didn't know who Paul was but he certianly would be popular around the world if he was given the appropriate air time he deserves

$1,075,000+ raised in less than a week online, all by grassroots donations, no special interest hand outs.
