Awesome session today, really happy with my deads, by far a PR, not weight wise, but rep wise, i used to do 6 reps with 350 with straps, today i did 8 reps without straps!

^^ ive done 190kgx1=380+38=418, but tried 425 here, wouldve gotten it if it wasnt for my grip, so i dont really, id day 420

Elbows were hurting a bit, so did biceps

Did 4 sets of 80lbs EZ bar close grip curls, no idea in reps, just failure on each

Got back to chest,

Cable flye's Standing
did 3 sets of 8 reps, 20lbs each side, huge pump!

After this did 45 cardio, basketball 4 on 4 full court, im soooooo tired now :)

Tommorow off, Last day is Squat day, wanna get at least 7 reps with goal weight!

Real busy with damn school...will do last session of week 3 on monday, and then tuesday off to study again, then from wednesday till saturday, gonna do the deload week in one shot, rest sunday and start second cycle on monday.

Maybe I'm not completely familiar with the 5-3-1 workout, but you seem to be doing alot more than required in your workouts. Why are you going to failure on the final set, is this a factor for the next stage of the program?

If you like volume why are you doing this program? Jim Wendler produced this and he was a very respected powerlifter, although he's retired and has lost a few pounds, this program was used only to up the 1RM. I don't understand how you take this Powerlifting program and screw it up with volume. The title of the program says it all.

^^ because im workin on improving my strength on the 4 lifts, tha's all, this gives me an outline on how to periodize my training when it comes to the 4 moves and slowly increase my strength in them. And im not a powerlifter, i just like training, and i feel the other moves compliment and help improve the 4 moves in this program, everyone has a different version on how to do 5/3/1, and until now, i like mine.

Oh and btw, it's not even much what i do volume wise, im done in 1 hour with all my sessions
