Thanks for the motivation fellas. A couple of days ago I had another session and it was poor. I had a look through my log book and found I am actually weaker than I was 18 months ago in a couple of the big lifts. This was more than a little depressing. I had 2 weeks off and came back to be THAT far back!! I know I go up and down and I have to accept that but to take that sort of a knock put me pretty much to the point of just knocking the whole thing on the head.
I went in yesterday and it was better. Felt better about it all. Thankfully. Hopefully it'll pick up.
Well I've managed to pull myself away from donuts for a bit and have been training and it is actually going ok.
Repping with 400lb on deads again.
A PB for reps on squat with 165kg (365lb) x 8 - adjusted the position of the bar on my back and it feels much better and strength output seems to have improved.
And using 120kg (265lb) on free bar bench for reps (more weight on smith when I use it).
So I may have to start posting proper sessions again soon and checking out how everyone else is doing!
