dont worry about ur motivation being a little low, everyone have it like that sometimes, hell i just got out of one of those periods...

just keep hitting it hard buddy, and push forward!:D

Nice workout dude. Realy heavy db curls, got a pb there. Very impressive leg workout also. Hit Pbs with shoulders and traps as well. Every body part is getting stronger and stronger each workout. Lol @ clean and jerks, i used to do them, it would just be all momentum id use to get the clean up, terrible form, it was quite funny, The clean for me would be 10xs harder then the press or jerk.

Pumba - Thanks for checking my log bud. Hopefully improving my delts and tris with these heavy lifts will help me when it comes to improving my bench.

Bulkboy - Yeah my freaky lunges are still going up! Glad my presses are improving though. Yeah, I'm hoping it's just a pahse and my fire comes back soon - then it'll hopefully help keep me getting PB's.

Philo - Cheers buddy.

Glex - lol. It's always been hard but it's getting really difficult to pull through! I think I need to increase my cardio too cos I'm getting so out of breath trying to knock the reps out.

Dobbs - Yeah I was pleased with the DB curls. Yeah I really have got to try and get the technique down for the C & J's. Need to start getting the legs in on it.

Ben - Yeah fingers crossed my increases will keep on coming! Thanks for checking it out.

wow man very heavy military presses and i was shocked u did some clean and jerks and u did them at the end of the workout too man i bet u were spent after all that.

Dstan - Actually by the end I wasn't too bad. Straight after the lunges though I was sweating like mad - really took it out of me.

Next session tomorrow - hope I'm a bit more fired up for it this time. Haven't had much sleep past couple of days since doing my night shifts but hopefully I'll get some tonight.

Here was today's session. Not brilliant . But bizarrely wasn't as disappointed as I usually am. I'll explain as I go through.

DB Incline
25kg (55lb) x 10
35kg (82lb) x 10
45kg (100lb) x 5
45kg (100lb) x 2 - both reps had about a 4 second positive phase - absolute killer.

BB Decline
80kg (180lb) x 10
110kg (240lb) x 3 :no: much less than last time.
100kg (220lb) x 7 - w/a rest pause) failed on 8. Not impressed with this.

Lying BB Pullover
40kg (90lb) x 10
55kg (120lb) x 6 - P.B.

Deads
100kg (220lb) x 10
150kg (330lb) x 7 - grip failed. :no:
180kg (400lb) x fail. :no: Deliberately made a conscious effort to use my quads more rather than my back on the lift up and it showed up my lack of quad stregnth.
180kg (400lb) x 1 - at least I got it up with better form. My quads are really hindering me now.

Not a great session but not a bad one I suppose. Bit gutted about the benching and deads obvbiously - them being the main ones. But then I've been getting so many PB's lately it was inevitable it would slow down. I just hope I don't start losing too much.

u won't lose too much man just do exercises to bring up ur weaknesses like do more grip work and front squats and ur deadlift will prolly go up which i must say 400lbs using just back is quite impressive. Just focus on assistant exercises for ur weaknesses and i'm sure u won't be stuck for long. All in all man great workout man.

Don't worry about the decline bench, it looks like you wore your chest out on the DBs.

doesn't look like that bad of a workout......u failed but u pushed urself and did it again, and u succeeded....and once again as always u got some P.B's!!! hard to complain

I don't think anyone's disappointed, your lifts look great to me. You might not be happy, but at least you tried and that's better than nothing.

You're not losing a single thing, Rocky; when the PB's slow down, it just makes us hungrier. I don't feel your deads are anything to snub at either, as 400lbs is something most people in the gym won't even dream of, let alone actually do. I'm sure the fine people of Merry 'Ol are happy enough to berate you at work(just like they do here), so you don't need to do it yourself.

Still used descent weight Rocko. You cant always get pb's. Maybe some stress at work, bad day, less sleep, food intake wasnt as it supposed to be a few factors which can infuence your training. As long as you keep progressing on a regular base everything should be fine. Keep it up m8 :xyxthumbs:

Pulldowns and Chins? why? pick one :no: your chins are by far more impressive anyway

deads look great, damn your weak quads (I have the same issue :tear: ) why must we be so similar with our gay tendancies :no:

overal this was one hell of a workout Danny Boy :xyxthumbs: quite impressive throughout the whole session movement to movement.
