Early Life
Steve Kuclo was born in August of 1985 in Detroit, Michigan. As I have noted, he is a very popular IFBB bodybuilder. Earlier, he was quite the athletic kid playing various sports during his childhood. Mainly, he competed in baseball, football, and hockey during his youth. As a matter of fact, he was quite a successful hockey player and even got him many regional awards.You can say that due to his sports background, Kuclo was let to the weight room. Soon he was obsessed with getting better and better. This made him fall in love with lifting. Gradually he started gaining some mass. After that, his interests began to shift, and he decided to try his hand at bodybuilding.
Steve Kuclo – Early Bodybuilding Career
At the age of 18, Steve Kuclo took to the bodybuilding stage for the first time. He participated at the 2004 NPC Capital City Classic, thus winning first in the Teen Division and third in the Open. Right after that, he got a boost in his confidence. Therefore, he decided that pursuing bodybuilding as a career was the right move. Later on, he competed at two other contests that year, not to mention he won both.
As time went by, we would see Steve participating in various competitions for the next few years. However, he did achieve success in most of them. Afterward, in 2007, he realized that he needed a day job. He chooses to become a firefighter/paramedic at 21 years old while chasing his dream.
Steve Kuclo had his final competition as an amateur bodybuilder in 2011. This was when he participated in the NPC USA contest. Before this, he participated at the NPC Nationals for the past three years. Thus, he was well prepared for this contest and was able to win. This earned him his Pro Card.
Steve Kuclo – Pro Bodybuilding Career
Steve Kuclo participated as a professional bodybuilder for the first time in the 2013 Dallas Europa Super Show. Altogether, he was successful and bagged first place in Men's Open division. This got him his first shot at Mr. Olympia in just his second pro contest. Despite winning 14th place, he established a name for himself.
Steve was quite busy in 2014 as he competed in 6 competitions. He gave his best performance in the Arnold Classic Brazil, where he won first place. In addition, he returned to Olympia and scored a better 9th place. As time went by, Steve took bodybuilding more seriously in 2015. By this, we mean that he quit his job and started working with George Farah, but Steve did not get the results he hoped for but did not win a single contest that year.
In the following year, 2016, Kulco only participated once in Mr. Olympia. He was pretty disappointed when he won 13th place. After that, he took some time off and focused on his physique. In 2018, Steve returned with more determination. Steve landed in the fifth-place position at the Arnold Classic. He then wins the Indy Pro before he competes at Mr. Olympia. Above all, he wins 10th place once again, proving his capability.
As time goes by, things start going upwards for Steve. In the 2019 Arnold Classics, he bagged the sixth position. After winning at the Indy Pro, he gave his best performance in Mr. Olympia. At that time, he took the 5th position at Mr. Olympia, narrowly missing out on the podium.

Steve Kulco has an extraordinary approach to his training. He firmly believes that a person must perform reps until failure, using both supersets and drop sets. Further, he generally likes to focus on a different muscle group every day of the week.

As per information gathered, Steve consumes a lot of calories during the off-season. He focuses on increasing his body weight and mass during his downtime to trim down when competing. When it's almost time for him to get on the stage, he consumes lean proteins and healthy carbs. Hs competition diet is given below -

Two slices of Ezekiel bread

In the case of supplements, he generally consumes them in liquid form. It is noted that he prefers consuming BCAA shakes, pre-workout shakes, vitamin drinks, whey protein shakes, and green teas. He also confessed that drinking these beverages helps him get the best pump out in all workout sessions.
