Not a very good reason to give up, seeing as you will only be dieting for a month and a half more your job performance should not suffer too much. Usually this happens when someone is worried about their weak points and not wanting to take that chance. After dieting as long as you have its not fair to yourself to just give up, you should stick with it and do it anyways. My job performance fell, I had my doubt about my physique, etc.. but I was not going to throw away my hard work I put into dieting for the show. In the end it was all worth it, I hope you make the best decision and your not making this one because you are getting cold feet. Your first show can be nerve wrecking but a few years down the road this excuse will make you feel like you backed out when you shouldnt have. I did the same thing when I started dieting down for my first show a few years back, and I regretted it up until the point that I did one. I say just do it and stop being a poon, wipe the vag clean and get back on track. :31_whip:

Braaq

up at 4:30am
work from 7 - 3 and saturdays

might not sound hard and hours might not seem long
but thats not the point, as mucb as i love bodybuilding and how much i wanna compete, it has to wait, competing that is.

i can't afford to lose my new job and i dont wanna be lagging behind,
i wanna put in my 100% best and not have to worry about when to eat, i wanna have the energy to perform at my best and keep my job.

What pays the bills?
work
what pays for bodybuilding supplements
work

its true work should always come first no matter what.

yeah u are correct braaq, only another month and abit of dieting.. but in that time i could stuff up on something at work and lose my job, due to not having the right intake of the right foods.

About weakpoints, im not worried about them at all, the only reason i brought them up is because i wasnt able to see them when i was bulking.

i know for myself i looked good when i was dieting, everything was on the right track.

this job requiers me to be lifting and moving around the clock, and not sitting down to rest unless its lunch time.
there might be times where i cant eat for 5 - 6 hours due to busy at work.

if work wasnt a problem, i wouldnt have pulled out.
dieting was pretty cheap.
nah i had no problems nor was i scared or had cold feet.
as you know bodybuilding isnt a race(sprint to the finish line).

your right i prolly will regret not competing in this show. but there will always be time for me to compete again.

for the past 3 months i didnt have a job, income of money was nothing
that was hard,
i'd rather have a great income of money and being able to support my needs for bodybuilding instead of rushing into competing it sounded awesome at the time "Competing" "first show" "first time dieting".

i dont wanna come off sounding like an asshole with what ive said above, but its how i feel inside of me,
i feel i wouldnt be able to do my best at work, its my first time doing something totally new and different to me.
in four years time, i could be earning over 120,000 a year with my new job.

if anything sounded rude, i didnt mean for it to sound like that lol.i still love ya braaq :keke:

I have a friend who dieted for a show for 16 weeks during the summer for a show in Tucson heat at about 110 degrees laying fiber optic cable for over 8 hours a day, then worked at night as a bouncer. He still stuck to his diet, and training regemin and had no problems at work except getting a little tired at times and taking the short breaks to eat really fast. He showed up and did his show regardless, because that is what bodybuilding takes. You have to push yourself a bit harder for a short period of time to compensate.
I highly doubt your job is that hard compared to his, meaning you are making excuses to yourself to justify quitting. Those reasons you just expained hold not weight bro, they are just excuses you are making to make yourself feel better about quitting. You may have convinced youself but i think you are lying to yourself. You are perfectly capable working at your new job for a month and a half while dieting. You are at the finish line, if you were just starting and had three or more months to go, I could understand, but you are almost done. There is no excuse unless you can just say you dont want to push yourself a bit more during your job for the next month and a half. Is that the case? If so admit it to yourself above all, you dont have to convince us or me.

it is upsetting even for myself not going to compete, but i do believe for myself its the best thing to do, and think about competing later on in the year or afew years down the track. once i understand and catch on to my new job.

I dont why i had a job and school and still managed to compete. SI will also be competing with a job and college next year. I agree with braaq not a very good excuse. I know lots of people with jobs that compete mostly fire men if they can do it then prolly anyone can.

Having not been in the position it's difficult to know what the rightdecision is but with the effort you've put in so far I don't doubt you've thought it through. I hope you do decide to compete again and at least this has given you a chance to focus on areas that need improving and you'll know what to expect come prep next time around.

Aussie PRIDE BROTHER, ill put another shrimp on the barbie mate :49:.
its all good as i stated above, i re-decided to compete agai in march 29th.
currently 6 weeks out.

Having not been in the position it's difficult to know what the rightdecision is but with the effort you've put in so far I don't doubt you've thought it through. I hope you do decide to compete again and at least this has given you a chance to focus on areas that need improving and you'll know what to expect come prep next time around.

Good point rocky, it was a hard decision to make, and making the wrong one was bad, so i thought long and hard about it over acouple of days last week and decided to still diet and compete in the same show.
Once im in contest shape, ill be able to see more detail on what areas need work on for when i jump back into bulking season.
Its been a great road so far with a cheat meal everyweekend :49:.

Ill still know for when i compete again, what needs to be done.

But its game time
6 weeks out
72kg empty belly.
1st place here i come:ughfingers:
:keke:

i was hopeing for this thread to die down for awhile so no one would bump it :49: so when i was 3 weeks out i would post MADMAX style pictures to SHOCK the mecca :keke:
