Yuri Vlasov. Red Jacks.
First edition: Publisher: Moscow: Algorithm, 2005. — (Great athlete of Russia)
This book is about young men who grew up during the Great Patriotic War, and almost all of them lost their fathers. They came to the Suvorov Military School in 1946, which was filled with the triumph of victory, and were trained as combat officers who had fought in great battles.

It is about life at the Suvorov Military School, about the Stalin era, which left its mark on the young men's lives, about their first feelings of love, about dreams and hopes that came true.
This book is like an oxygen mask for contemporaries who are enduring the deadly blows of ugliness and ignorance from the new era.

Red Jacks. How Champions Were Trained
Second Edition: Series: Soviet Century
Published 2021
The author of this book, Yuri Vlasov, is a legendary weightlifter, 1960 Olympic champion, and multiple World, European, and Soviet champion. In addition to physical strength, he also possessed outstanding moral strength.

He uses his personal example to show how the Stalin era nurtured heroes – an entire generation of courageous, strong, and integrated individuals with unique characters. This comprehensive portrait of the lives of young people in the 1950s reveals how the USSR trained future officers and nurtured patriots. The story is entirely autobiographical, and all the author's recollections are based on actual events.

The book will be of interest not only to fans of Yuri Vlasov's athletic talent, but also to anyone interested in the history and ideology of the Stalin period of the Soviet era.

1993. The Year of the Great Defeat.
Publisher: Moscow: Algorithm.
Publication year: 2006. Series: (Old Guard)
About the book:
This book presents the socio-political articles and speeches of Yu.P. Vlasov covering the period from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.

They reflect the situation in Russia at the time and clearly reveal the preconditions for the events of 1993. Analyzing them, the author comes to the well-founded conclusion that, in essence, they were a bourgeois counterrevolution, a "revolution of the rich against the poor," and definitively buried any hopes for a better future for Russia and its people under the existing political system.

The Great Repartition.
Publisher: Moscow: "DPK Press".
Publication year: 2011. — in two volumes.

Yuri Vlasov's book is "about the relations between Russia and Japan from the late 19th century to 1945 in the 20th century. About the role of the United States in the destinies of both Tsarist and Soviet Russia." The author, within the context of Russian-Japanese relations, presents a broad picture of the attitudes of not only the United States but also other European countries toward Russia. Every fact, thesis, conclusion, and figure in the work are verified with pinpoint precision, supported by references to specific sources. There are hundreds of such sources: from archival documents to historical, journalistic, and literary works, newspaper and magazine publications, personal diaries and poetry—from different times, countries, and peoples—all the way to the memoirs of a Japanese suicide bomber who miraculously survived World War II.

VLASOV / VLASOV
Zapazuha
Mikhail Kurnosov
Nomination: Interior and Exterior Items

Category: Completed Project

Type: Furniture

Positioning: Premium

Location: Belarus, Minsk

Year: 2023

VLASOV is a "soft" sculpture of an "iron man."

The chair was created and named in honor of weightlifter Yuri Vlasov, the strongest man of the 1960s, who was the first in history to lift a 200-kilogram barbell. This piece depicts a person strong, first and foremost, in spirit and thought. It depicts a person capable of enduring and overcoming any challenges in life.

The frame is made of solid oak, while the upholstery and removable "barbell" are made of durable premium fabric, which is 70% natural wool. The chair is complemented by an unusual detail: an orthopedic cushion for relaxing the lower lumbar region.
