Pickle: Yes I am awesome. Expect 110kg in the next few weeks.

lifterdead: stop being ambiguous and precise! :D

I use a proper ROM on dips, although I would like better dip bars than two bars in the power rack. A proper dip station would be ideal.

First day of cycle 3 of 5/3/1....... and it sucked.

Just didn't seem to have any balance and strength today. I have been busy and had a long work day, but I didn't feel that off until I got to my first snatch set. Just didn't feel right at all. I broke my lifting platform with my third set, just didn't get under the weight and lost my balance.

Warmups

70kg x1 x1 - first set dropped the second rep.

135kg x5 - whole heap of fail on this. 5 really felt like a challenge this evening, yet I really should have gotten 8.

Front squat
70kg x10 2 sets - these felt ok, but only did 2 sets due to the previous fail exercises

Single leg standing calf raise
32kg x8 2 sets - first time I have done these on a step in over a month due to my foot problem. Seemed fine this evening, although foot is still stiff most mornings.

Solid session there timbo, sucks about the squats, but dont sweat, ur sexiness and awesome ginger hair make up for it, plus ur sexier then pickle for sure

Pickle: Yep that is the goal. Hopefully I haven't reached gutlessness on the squat though.

Freako: lol. The weights landed on the stone pavers, not me. I jumped backwards when I lost the weight overhead, but because I was in the deep squat position I landed on my arse. Barbell pretty much went straight up and down. Now I need a new platform :tear:

I though today was going to suck because of the two long work days I have put it. Surprisingly things went quite well, just needed to practice each exercise otherwise I'd cramp (chest in dips) or lose the groove (chins, behind the neck jerks).

How come your overhead press weight is so low? I would have guessed you'd be lifting a bit more than me hehe

solid session tim:2: good effort on the extra reps on OHP and those pullups are looking mighty fine i must say.

Skippy: :bushblah: I used to do a seated DB OH press of 50kg x2 DB's. At the time I didn't bench and just did that and dips. Since then I haven't really pushed the overhead stuff as much. I basically haven't done anything remotely heavy in 4-5yrs, including periods of no shoulder work at all. So just give it time. Plus I haven't traditionally done shoulder work standing, so basically a new thing for me.

Bulky: I messed up and did chinups instead of pullups. I don't know that it made a big difference, but it may have done.

Freako: Screw you for being better than me!!! Give me time. That 50kg x10 is still 5kg shy of my PB, not that I have done that recently.....

Ok I'm drunk and was having a glass of wine on the patio. I was staring at my DB's and thinking "Why not". So I grabbed them and did this just to see what I can do, when battling to stand straight, let alone press overhead.

Dumbbell Standing clean and press (single arm)
32kg x2 both arms
40kg x1 both arms
40kg x1 right arm, fail left.

Interesting, considering my OH max with a barbell is supposedly less than this.
