Skeptic: Thanks Kurto...... damn Aussie vernacular doesn't work on your name. Get a more Aussie name!!!

El Freako: But my general awesomeness is a shining beacon that overshadows my average squat.

Samoan: Nothing like being reminded that a 190lb guy isn't going to be as strong as a 320lb (??) guy in my own log.

El Freako: :2:

Last night was cooler than the previous day so I may have started the summer routine a little early. :uhoh2: Another PB on chins last night, although I battled to get the ROM unlike other sessions. So might have to stick to this weight for a bit first.

Chinups
BW x5 (or something)
20kg x5
30kg x5
40kg x5
50kg x2
50kg x2
20kg x10

Prone Iso-raises (for the middle and lower traps)
2kg x5 x10sec
2kg x5 x10sec
2kg x5 x10sec

DB tricep ext
17kg x15
17kg x10

Just call Kurt "Skippy", if that ain't Aussie then I don't know what is.

Huge chins again mate. Mine were rather piss-weak today :(.

P.S. your video isn't working, again. You fail at life.

^^The vid works for me, and on the youtube site. Must be just you that fails :keke:

I'm pretty happy with the chins considering how much weight I've lost off my waist. Means I have actually gotten stronger and maintained my mass.

Actually he would be a good Skippy. "What's that Skip? Someone's fallen down a well!?"

I'm picturing him replying with a death-metal growl. Death-metal wallabies are cool.

60kg x5
70kg x5 (panting like hell)
70kg x5
80kg x2
85kg x1
90kg x1

2x1
2x1
2x1

Last night I did my first chest workout since my shoulder injury. I took it very easy but still managed to get a nice pump (I can't believe that term has been used in my log) and am a bit sore today. I really kept the reps easy but kept the bar moving to keep the pressure off the shoulder.

BB Bench
60kg x8
80kg x8
100kg x10
100kg x6
100kg x6 (easy reps could have had 10 but didn't want to push it)

Incline DB Bicep
17kg x10
17kg x8

And I'm done. Was a short really easy workout that made me feel lame. But it worked the muscles and didn't hurt, so it's all good. :xyxthumbs:

Samoan: Thanks big fella!! I think that my lack of hammys was a contributing factor to my knee injury. So train them hard!!

El Freako: I just saw in the chat box that you benched almost as much as I squatted :crymeariver: Good stuff! I'm thinking that the soreness in the hammys won't affect the squat next week and I'll be able to squat ~160kgx3. Hope to nail 170-180kg by Xmas.

I was away for work yesterday so no training, but I did train the day before.

Back:

Chinups
BW x5 (deadhang)
20kg x5 (deadhang)
40kg x3 (deadhang)
50kg x2 (realised I wasn't going to get 3 so went to singles)
50kg x1
50kg x1
50kg x1
50kg x1
20kg x8

Iso hold raises (hold for 10)
2.5kg x5
2.5kg x5
2.5kg x5

Tricep OH ext
18.5kg x12
18.5kg x12

You're still beating me in chins though :gaygay:, I need to work on them a bit more.

PV, Samoan, El Freako thanks very much guys; but.....

I think I've gone and overdone it. The Chins and the activation and isolation exercises for the middle and lower traps may have done something I didn't foresee. I've gone and strained my traps last night when I was snatching!

Wasn't a heavy set or anything (80kg, did 90kg last week) but I had to stop afterwards. Today my middle back is really painfull. I think that the activation exercises have been working really well and I'm getting the middle and lower traps to work during the big exercises. But because they got a good workout from chins the snatches were too much for them. So looks like I'll have to take it easy on explosive and heavy back loading for a while (I think probably a week).

Snatches
20kg x5
60kg x5
70kg x5
80kg x1 (stopped, although had to rack bar on shoulders and then snatch press)

^^ So fragile we have been doing this shit longer and harder and are still standing :angrydude:

Yeh I would have gotten away with it (if it wasn't for not being a kid) back in the day. But then again back then I didn't have a full time job, family, commitments, work travel and I had a training partner and comfy training surrounds.
