Philo: Actually the lower back is fine. I feel this more in the hammys and upper back. Probably because I don't allow any movement in the lower back so that probably lowers the lift weight. As for the knee: I have no idea. I think it is either an inflamed tendon or ligament on the outside of the knee. Hard to say. It came up from not quite coming up evenly on C&J and squats a week or two back. Fallen back into a bad habit from my knee injury days.

Hypo: No seriously dude, Creed sucks. I just like that song. I think I've only heard two of their songs that are any good. Somehow or other I actually have an entire album each of Atreyu and Killswitch Engage. Both really suck. I remember putting them on to lift weights one time and just had to change it over to something else.

Quick session tonight that probably took 10-15mins including setting up and warmups.

Ok this arvo sucked.

Warmups

Front Squats
20kg x10
60kg x5
80kg x5
100kg x2
110kg x5

Tweaked my back as I put the bar back in the rack. This is the mid/upper back and feels like the intercostals in my ribs on my back.

Pretty lame considering that it wasn't even that heavy.

Miami: not likely to have been a nerve thing. Plus it is better now.

Philo: It is mostly better. Definitely a minor strain, just one of those strains you really notice because you can't sit or sleep comfortably (same as cracked ribs).

I actually have felt like training the last couple of days but have had to rein myself in so that I don't do something stupid (mmmmmm deadlifts). I've tried doing a few slow sets of pullups and they feel fine. I'll give it another day and I'll get back into things. Probably do upper body so that I don't load up the spine straight away. Then I might do some single leg stuff for a week.

I've also been contemplating doing either 20 rep squats or perhaps adding in a couple of sets of higher rep (15-20) stuff after the main exercises.

Good to hear its nothing major.

20 rep squats are insane. I would go for option 2 but that would be because it isnt that heavy as a 20 rep SQ :p

^^ Last time I tried for a 20 rep squat I got to 15 before my legs were jelly and I collapsed seeing stars. Didn't throw up though, came close, but no crazy moment. G&D only goes so far sometimes.

Thank god for safety pins in power racks :xyxthumbs:

PV: Well it seems like the back is 100% now. Probably not, but this evenings session felt fine even though I woke up stiff this morning.

Lionheart: Thanks. It felt good and the ME with the working sets between 80% and 95% seemed to work better than a whole heap at the same weight.

Tonight was pretty decent with squat ME and hammy DE.
