Musclemecca is proud to announce the 4th edition of the San Marino Pro IFBB and the 2nd edition of the Olympia Amateur IFBB.
This event will be in San Marino from November 24 to 26, 2017.
Olympia Amateur Europe and San Marino Pro is the only pro event on the Italian territory.
There will be the Olympia Amateur Europe with athletes coming from all over Europe, around 400 athletes.
The expo and competition will take place in a big structure, the Multieventi Palace, it’s the Olympic Center of San Marino.
San Marino Pro – Olympia Amateur 2017
The most longed-for occurrence of Italian bodybuilding, that keeps growing in international credibility and reputation. Previous editions have been a crescendo of consensus both in terms of hosts participation and quality: more than 5000 people took part in PRO and AMATEUR competitions, workshops and Brands expos.
The event represents a unique opportunity for Italian and European athletes, sports trainers, fans and consumers markets, as well as offering special access to the best supplements and sportswear Brands in the world.

Quasi 5000 presenze per un fine settimana tutto dedicato al culturismo ed al benessere. Nella splendida cornice del Multieventi della Repubblica di San Marino, ai piedi del Maestoso Monte Titano, si sono svolte 2 gare Internazionali: Il Mister Olympia Europe Amateur ed il San Marino Pro 2016.
IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE
The co-founders of IFBB professional bodybuilding were Joe and Ben Weider who created the International Federation of Body Builders (“IFBB”) in 1946.
The first IFBB professional contest was the 1965 IFBB Mr. Olympia.
From 1965 to 1975, the IFBB Executive Council controlled both Amateur and Professional divisions.
At the 1975 IFBB International Congress in Pretoria, South Africa, Arnold Schwarzenegger was named chairman of the first IFBB Professional Committee.
At the 1977 Congress in Nimes, France, the IFBB Professional Committee was replaced by IFBB Professional Delegates-at-Large. Also in 1977, the movie “Pumping Iron”, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno, was released.
In 1980, Joe Weider created the Ms. Olympia.
At the 1982 Congress in Bruges, Belgium, IFBB Professional Delegates-at-Large were replaced by an IFBB Professional Liaison Director.
In 1985, the movie “Pumping Iron II: The Women”, starring Rachel McLish and Bev Francis, was released.
At the 1986 Congress in Tokyo, Japan, the IFBB Professional Liaison Director became the Director, IFBB Professional Committee.
At the 1987 Congress in Madrid, Spain, the IFBB Professional Division was formed, headed by an IFBB Vice President.
In 1995, Joe Weider created the Fitness Olympia. In 2003, he created the Figure Olympia.
At the 2005 Congress in Shanghai, China, the IFBB Professional Division became the IFBB Professional League. Joe and Ben Weider named Jim Manion as president of the IFBB Pro League.
In 2008, Joe Weider created the Olympia 202 Showdown, which today is the Olympia 212 Showdown. In 2010, he created the Bikini Olympia.
In 2013, the Olympia Men’s and Women’s Physique Showdowns were added to the Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend.
In 2015, the IFBB Mr. Olympia celebrated its 50th anniversary.
