Palumbo & Aceto say it straight: Hadi Choopan could stun everyone at Olympia
Why Hadi might steal it
Palumbo’s blunt take: Hadi didn’t look like himself last Olympia—legs were down, physique was fatigued after going all-in at the Arnold. This year he stayed off the radar, recovered, and can bring the granite look he’s known for. If Derek and Samson bring their best, it’s a dogfight—but a fully restored Hadi can absolutely win.
What separated Urs from Quinton—this week
Andrea Shaw keeps proving she’s the standard in Women’s Bodybuilding, and Michelle Brent placing top-5 in her 60s is flat-out insane. Credit to Jake Wood for continuing to underwrite and elevate the division.
Final take
If Samson simply duplicates his recent guest-posing look (no last-week heroics), he’s terrifying. But if Hadi walks in fully recovered with signature granite density, he can shock the building. That’s the show.

- Quinton: World-class lines and genuine roundness, but the “wow” fullness from earlier shows wasn’t the same. Even a small dip in pop or dryness will cost you at this level.
- Favorites to win: Hadi Choopan, Derek Lunsford, Samson Dauda
- Chasing the first callout: Andrew Jacked, Nick Walker, Behrooz Tabani
- Live by this: If you fade in round 3—legs stop holding, vacuums don’t hit, transitions get sloppy—you lose placements. Posing is not aesthetics theater; it’s scoring insurance.
