**** pressing day...

5/3/1: cycle 1, week 2
Bench Press
3 x 95kg
3 x 110kg
6 x 120kg
We've been forced to bench on a ****ty old "standard bench" with ridiculously close uprights so these were much more CG than I'm used to. And also my shoulder has been playing up since Sunday (for now apparent reason) so these combined to seriously limit my capabilities today.

Dips
3 x 10 x bw
Shoulder started aching badly after the 3rd set so I gave up.

Pullups
100 reps.

Sad to hear about your shoulders, I hope they calm down soon and you start benching like the mad man you are.

I feel you with the crappy bench, i suffer the same shiit in my gym. Plus crappy bars and crappy everything. And it's the best gym for "serious" weightlifting around, go figure.

Sad to hear about your shoulders, I hope they calm down soon and you start benching like the mad man you are.

I feel you with the crappy bench, i suffer the same shiit in my gym. Plus crappy bars and crappy everything. And it's the best gym for "serious" weightlifting around, go figure.

where do you live? Spain or something? LOL

Yes, and my city is full of shinny "Wellness centers" with huuuuuge instalations for areobox, aqua-salsa, technopilates and hyperyoga. Just don't ask for anything heavy.
Small "hood" gyms like mine are dissapearing and the ones that still exist cannot renew the equipement. It's a sad, sad world this one where saying "I go to the gym to do aqua-something" is ok and you get the funny looks if you go to a real gym to lift heavy stuff.

Seriously, i wish someday I own a house (not a flat) just for that reason. Meanwhile i'm tied to commercial gyms.

Despite the dodgy shoulder it was still a solid workout! My leg has been playing up again also... I'm gonna try lift through the pain this time, instead of bitching out.

And out, solid session with PRs for both myself and Paz but restricted for time. Still haven't dragged the tire yet this week. I'm feeling kinda guilty about it but life keeps on getting in the way. Also figured that if I'm going to do 5x5 for assistance work I'm going to have to start with higher than 140kg from now on, its no longer 70% of my max I realised...

Epic pumpage, couldn't touch my shoulders after.
