Change of plans, starting Intense Cycle on Friday, this will allow me to do the 2nd day of each week, which is the heaviest, on a Monday after a weekends rest.
Afterwards I'm going to run my Holocaust AGVT Cycle with some shoulder rehab until the new year, then its on like donkey kong. I'm tossing up between WSBM or Sheiko. I'll probably do a bit of Westside first. I'm aiming to get into the top 10 of the Mecca Powerlifting League then I'm going after Braaq's Wilk's figure.

A piss poor start to the cycle today. I'm attributing it to the fact that I was tired and stressed out but I also believe some fault may lie in my lack of adherence to the switching phase. I was meant to do 3 sessions of speed work per week for 2 weeks but in the end I only did 2 sessions all up. I'm going to wind back the intensity load next week by 5% and see how it goes then.
The shiznit for squat training IMHO. I'm only halfway through and I've already put 20kg on my 1rm. I'm hoping for another 20-30kg... but maybe not if I can't get this intense cycle sorted.
Don't sweat that last session. you've already rationalised what the causes may be and are gonna back off - tomorrow is anotherr day. It's still huge weight!

I dropped my 1rm by 5kg to slightly reduce the load and restarted the cycle, and although I completed all the sets this time it was still a lot harder than it should have been. I'm going to restart the cycle again on Friday after a few days rest. Hopefully my body will be ready for the cycle this time. Otherwise I'm just going to have to repeat the mesocycle. I really need to do some stretching too, my hams have tightened up beyond belief.
