thats a good amount of reps for 40 on the hammer curls. and your dips are fantastic. and 100 X 7 is not weak on the DBs if your form was perfect. thats only 1 rep less than what i do on the movement with perfect form. maybe i just want to convince myself i'm not weak =(

I agree with the rest...100s for reps on DB bench is good! I'm hard on myself too, but seriously Glex, that is great! Good job with everything. :)

FF and Tim: I really wish someone invents the exercise involving security threats...but until then I'm just doing 8 reps instead of 7 :49:

Tweak: Thanks bud, appreciate it as always. I'll go for a full plate on the weighted dips next time.

CJU: Thanks! The 40s weren't too bad, but I felt a much better contraction with the 35s so I dropped back down.

CJU, Max, and Banshee: I always come down to my chest on the flat DB presses, so I'm definitely low enough and all that. I was just disappointed 'cause I know I can do (and have done) more. Next time :xyxthumbs:

Today was some cardio:

Running
10 mins warmup
10:52 race pace (1.5 mile, boo)
9 mins cooldown

It was a pretty good 30 minutes. I could've gone longer, but I wanted to get some food in my stomach. The 1.5 mile time is terrible; over 2 minutes slower than I ran it in October! I should be alright for my PT test in a month, though. Today was less than ideal conditions (wet outside track in the cold drizzle and wind on a hungry stomach), and my times always drop rapidly when I first get back into running. I should be below the 9:36 time as long as I keep up with it :ughfingers: We'll see how I run it in a week or so.

Tomorrow is the first day back with Line, stay tuned for that bloodbath! :runinafire:

Thats easy. It would be an impromtu weightlifting meet on the White House lawn. Half a dozen really big strong guys, with their barbells in tow, descend on the White House front lawn. The security guards cannot get a clear shot for fear of ricochet off of the masses of pig iron, so they have to resort to man on man combat.

Tweak: You'd better check my log after that heartless comment on Line's log, lol.

FF: It's bad for me! It'll get better, though.

Delgado: Yeah, it sucks getting into it but once you hit a rthym it's fine.

Tim: And for cardio you try to outrun the dogs :49:

Still a little weak on the flat bench, and I'm a little disappointed with mil press, but the dips made up for it :xyxthumbs: Never attempted 90, and I'm very happy with how it went. If only I could do weighted pullups now...maybe after my fat arse loses a few pounds :49:

It's safe to say your pullups are always gonna be better, LOL.

Just like my bench will always be better :spy:

I weigh around 215 unofficially, so we'll see how special you are :spy:

Shrugs could be better...eh...yeah, if my traps were stronger :49: I could probably go up to 315 but I would definitely be struggling to get a good squeeze for 8 reps. I'll give 'er a shot next time though.

my bench is horrible I know :tear: I've only been benching consistently for about 6 months now though, if even that. And I've only been lifting for 14 months now :spy:

give my bench time :tear: :tear:

oh im special :spy:

I'm going to call my shot right now, 135 on dips for at least 5, which would be a personal best :spy:

you better do 315 on shrugs next time honky :tear:

That isn't all you should be worried about. These are terrible for hitting the supposed target muscles and can be really bad on the shoulder joint.

Aside from that; good work on the dips!

Now where's your session with Line? I want to see your half of that workout.

Tweak: Good luck on the dips and I'll give 315 a shot next time :xyxthumbs:

FF: He wishes :49:

Tim: I'm always a little anxious about doing upright rows with a bar...I like doing them with DBs better. Seems like there's less chance of hurting yourself, but I don't know if that alleviates any stress on the shoulder joint. Thanks, dips felt good :hammer: Here's my half the workout...sorry it took longer to put up, but unlike some people  :cough cough: LINE :cough cough:  I had a class and then did cardio and abs afterwards.

4:50-6:15

Squats

Warmed up on leg extensions beforehand
135 lbs x 12
225 lbs x 8
315 lbs x 2...PB :hammer:

Seated Leg Curls
80 lbs x 12
125 lbs x 12
170 lbs x 10
140 lbs x 12

Deadlifts
225 lbs x 10
315 lbs x 8
365 lbs x 3...could've done 1 or 2 more, but of all things my thumb hurt! :49: i cut it open and it was brushing against my pants

Close Grip Pulldowns
165 lbs x 10
195 lbs x 8
195 lbs x 8

DB Curls
30 lbs x 12
40 lbs x 10
40 lbs x 8
35 lbs x 10

Standing Calf Raises

Intermission: Go to class to pick up a syllabus

7:00-8:00

Abs

Running

Nothing fancy today. 40 minutes at a good sustained effort; purely an endurance builder. Finished off with five 70 yard striders and some stretching.

Aftermath:
Good lord, how does 4 hours evaporate? Pretty happy about the 315 x 2...the second one could've been a tad deeper but it was much easier than the last time I tried it. What I'm not happy about is that I have to be up in about 9 hours for PT :shootme: Day off tomorrow, back in the gym Friday.
