Заканчивается многодневный перелет. Автоматическая станция „Венера-4“ уже захвачена полем тяготения Венеры. Еще недолго — и отделится спускаемый отсек, начнется посадка на поверхность планеты.

Погасив космическую скорость, открылся парашют. Плавно опускаясь, автоматическая станция непрерывно ведёт радиопередачу, сообщая на Землю результаты измерений температуры, плотности, состава атмосферы Венеры.

Заканчивается полёт по орбите. Включены тормозные установки, гасится космическая скорость. Скоро корабль войдёт в плотные слои атмосферы.
