If I get ganged up on by those who just support their friends by taking what I say out of context then that is fine. I know what I learned in school and that is all I have to say about that. On top of the fact that I have followed my logic and training methods and it has taking me way farther then those who " owned" me on the topics.
On another note, I didnt say anything about that. I questioned you on your training and your physique since you like to criticize to much. If that is the only thing you can bring up then I guess I still state my case.

Can you explain me what my physique has to do with anything? Is it that biggest guy is always right? In that case, why in hell do you study physiology?

Anyway, Rocky, I love how you posted my pic's or the link to it like 5 times the past month. But can you atleast give all info, like that training is just a hobby of me I don't put all that much time in nor I really care about that much and that the amount of muscle I've gained from start till those pic's is actually pretty decent?

Anyway Braaq, nobody took anything out of context. You thought your MD in physiology means anything, but you only learned the basics, so yes you got owned pretty fucking badly. Than you asked if Ironslave ever competed, like he was just a labcoat but he did, and then you didn't believe he teaches when he does, how the hell is anybody supposed to take you serieus if you can't admit you got owned in such ownage?

THIS IS A BODYBUILDING WEBSITE! So if you dont have the physique to back up your shit talking then keep your mouth shut! If your going to talk bodybuilding, debate on the subject, and criticize others then you best have the background and the build to back that shit up son or your words mean jack shit.
No, the 5 x 5 discussion was taken out of context. I was argueing that more volume sets for legs were better for overall size. They took it as me saying that 5 x 5 will not cause hypertrophy... not the case. As for the arguement with IS, my info was right and It can be looked up in a text book. We just had a difference in opinion for which worked better and his info was correct as was mine. I dont need to get into it anymore nor do I need to explain myself. The fact is little one is that you cannot talk shit to me because I am light years ahead of you in this sport. I suggest you keep your criticism of others contructive rather then insulting or I will call you out every time I see it.:gtfoslap:

you IQ was is low enough if you still train the way you did in your log, who the fuck told you to train for 2 hours? do 300 reps of pullovers? and do ten sets of 1 rep.........you do occasionally bust the funny one-liner and offer some sensible training advice, but in light of reading you log yesterday, im convinced your knowledge matches your development....you need to shut up and squat!

Nice session there mate. Howcome you didn't do 5x5@110kg on the bench? The lighter sets serve no immediate purpose other than warm-ups I'd say. Imo 1 higher intensity set is not sufficient. Same goes for jerk & press :2:

thats just dogma dude, ive been growing on one working set per exercise for over a year and half now, subsequent heavy sets usually just cut into recovery and lead to over training, im also following a powerlifting type generator, that maps out like 16 weeks of weight progressions, so it manipulates all the loads, going up and down, etc, its been working well so far.

im also only hitting body parts every 9 days, you wouldn't think it would work, but it does!

cheers for advice but im moving along nicely, added two kgs in the last month whilst eating less cals than usual, so im happy with my training

thanks for the support!

It's not dogma. Volume is clearly a lever to turn for hypertrophy along with intensity and TUT.

That being said, your protocol seems reasonable, manipulating loads and stuff. That seems to work very well in deed for many people and makes good sense. The low frequency works, no doubt, but higher frequency makes more sense to me. Recovery only takes around 48-72 hours, so why not go for targeting muscle groups every 3 days?

You adding 2kgs to your frame while consuming less calories I don't get. Then you must have been adding more than 2 kgs a month before easing up on the cals...? How do you keep track of your muscle/fat gains?

For the overtraining - volume is normally not directly linked to CNS overload. Rather it seems to be intensity that leads to over-training. That's why failure-training in the big lifts for longer periods of time makes you stall. You could clearly do more sets in an exercise without approaching over-training, as long as you hold some distance to failure. This accrues to the big lifts mostly, as they are usually the sinners. Deadlifts are the most taxing, followed by squats and then benchpressing. This is what most elite strength protocols build upon - the heavier the lift, the more CNS-stress induced.

I don't question your progress at all - I'm just saying that you could do even more and possibly progress even faster than you do now :2: At the end of the day it's up to yourself how you like to train :)
