started week 2 of smolov jr for bench today
6x6x180 not too bad now really :ughnoes:

i was able to get it up but couldnt lock it out completely :angrydude:
next week ill try for 505 maybe :spy:

did some rackdeads after deads to maybe help with that lockout :ughfingers:

Just finished my bench cycle for it today, last day was rough :ughnoes:

going to change my routine to probably :ughnoes: a U/L split on monday.
dont have it all planed out yet but ill work on it and post it in here tomorrow. :tiphat:

Congrats on finishing the cycle dude. 10 x 3 is a bitch isn't it. May I suggest keeping any chest work light for the next week until you've tested your new max. The same will go for the deads, and avoid any leg work until after you've tested your deads max.

the last day 10x3x220 was the hardest no doubt. on deads i max every week when i do em, might not be the best way but it always goes up :e5dunno:
squats have been bad for me i think because of all the hills i have to walk, everywhere i go in this city its walking up hill both ways and my legs stay sore all the time :ugh:

im not sure what kind of sets/reps im going to work with doing my new split but it will be lower/upper 4 days a week.

something like
deads
squats
rdl or gm
fronts or lunges or leg press
maybe calfs

bench
oh press
pull ups
cg or dips
rows
curls

basically focus on adding weight to the compounds each week work in the 5 rep range on the working sets, this split worked the best for me so hopefully i have good results this time too.

Are you going to do this 2x per week or just 1x? I'd suggest doing deads on one lower day and squats on the other if you do it 2x. Its mental to do squats and deads together on the same day.

I might add that its also counter-productive to hit them on the same day IMHO.

What I was doing with my push-pull was doing back squats in the Monday/Tuesday block then Deads in the Thursday/Friday block. I did light front squats also in the second block but not so heavy that they'd effect my heavy deads on the following day.

hmm really?
i had good gains doing them on the same day before. i think it works better because they are different movements.

Doing them both together is too great a drain on my energy, especially if I do deads first. Plus heavy squats can really tax my back which I don't want to do prior to deads. I used to do them on the same day but I was only deading 140kg for 5 back then, now I'll do 180-190 x3.
