Tweak - I really appreciate the kind words. Yes, it's hard shrugging with those gay-ass triangle bars but I'm making due. Hopefully we'll see some even heavier inclines in the future.

CJU - Just wait, bro...I'll be shoulder pressing 110's again for 6 very soon :xyxthumbs:

FF - Thanks, bro. I'm still sorta "getting back into the swing of things" plus I have a tendency to be a stubborn prick who doesn't settle for anything, LOL.

Tim - First, I always appreciate a good Simpsons reference in my log :xyxthumbs:

You haven't missed much this past week due to circumstances I'll right about below...stay tuned for something big tomorrow though.

Banshee - I was only dissapointed because the 90's seriously went up without much difficulty at all; even on my third set. Grrr, it's frusturating.

Chesty - :49: Nice switch up with the quotes, but don't expect that in your log.

Pumba - I believe you were the one who challenged me to a 500 squat :D

Anyways, the fact that you've already been there is just motivating me to press on harder :xyxthumbs:

Palmetto - :49: I skipped out Friday night because I needed a nap and Glex could only train after like 9:30pm and I wasn't giving up my Friday night. I really haven't cut loose yet this semester so it was refreshing to go out and live it up.

Banshee (again) - New session tomorrow...more pics coming soon too? ;)

UPDATE: I've been fairly busy lately, and yes, with more than just drinking. On Friday mine and Glex's schedules conflicted and Saturday I was admitedly still recovering my the previous night of debauchary (I still AM Line afterall). The last two days have been a combination of studying for exams and not getting enough sleep (damn you Exercise Physiology and Sports Ethics!) but tomorrow it's back on. Legs/Back/Bis. Expect some good squatting and hopefully some impressive deadlifting. :ughnoes:

Chesticles and CJU - Man, you guys are gay :49:

Okay, back after a few days off but that doesn't mean I backed off from heavy weights at all. Despite feeling sick most of the session (and letting Glex know about it every ten minutes) I think I was able to put together a good effort; one that I'll be feeling tomorrow for sure. We sort of jumped all over the place today so I won't segregate bodyparts tonight.

Date: 1.30.06

Time: 10:15 pm

Duration: 1 hr 15 min

BB Squats
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 405 pounds x 4 reps
Set #4 - 405 pounds x 4 reps
Set #5 - 405 pounds x 4 reps

BB Deadlifts
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 6 reps
Set #3 - 405 pounds x 8 reps
...PB

PullDowns
Set #1 - 180 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 210 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 210 pounds x 8 reps

DB Hammer Curls
Set #1 - 35 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 45 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 50 pounds x 8 reps

Standing Calf Raises
Set #1 - 180 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 220 pounds x 10 reps
Set #3 - 260 pounds x 8 reps

...and that's it for today. I was really trying to do more low-rep high weight sets for Squats and I'd like to think I accomplished that. I'm really trying to pack on some leg mass so I might back off the weight only slightly because right now I'm squatting 89% of my max during my working sets.

For the Deadlifts, I never imaged doing 8 reps today at 405 (I was targeting 6 reps) but was just feeling really good so I kept going. After that I pretty much felt like shit for the rest of the session, LOL.

Well, that's it for now. Until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

Some insane work there:hhj: Sticking heavy squats and deads in the same workout is beyond intense. Plus, at 10:15 that evening....

Yeah, I'm feeling like a ten-year-old-girl. Way to go, Line:49:

Glex - Thanks, changed my password. Here's hoping I win that computer store giftcertificate :ughnoes:

Tweak - I really hadn't even thought about hitting 1,000 anytime soon but you're right...it definitely looks in range. As I've mentioned I'm going to try and be as consistent as my schedule permits because I really want to push my strength to its boundaries (and now it looks like I have a new goal).

CJU - :49: Thanks for the kind words on the deadlifts; I really surprised myself to be honest because I wasn't hoping for any more than 4-6 reps :e5dunno:

Chesty - Yeah, squatting 455 or 405 for reps is one thing...but with Glenn on my back, yeesh. Not happening :49:

TO - Thanks, bro. I've really been liking the new split and focusing on more compound movements; I can really feel my strength improving. Hopefully we'll see a plethora of more PB's to come.

Tim - I'll probably attempt to do a max sometime soon. I have a weird relationship with deadlifts. I've always been pretty good at them, and my muscular endurance seems to last longer on them than other exercises without sacrifice to my form. I'm not sure I'd be able to pull whatever my projected max would be set up, but I'll certainly be upping my 1RM soon.

One(sorta)bigeric - Yeah, I'm a night person...plus I'm too lazy to go early in the day :49: Glad to see you took a peak and stopped in.

UPDATE: Took yesterday off so Glex and I could get back to our normal schedule of things (I think he ran though seeing how he's a pussy and all). Tonight will be Chest/Shoulders/Tris and I think I might decide to make it a high-rep chest day because it's been quite some time since my last. See you guys later

Hey guys, pretty quick session today. I had to go it alone because I was meeting a friend at 8:30 and Glex was tied up with ROTC stuff. As I mentioned, I decided to go higher on reps for chest, and let me say, I burnt out really fast (and to make it worse did fascia stretching afterwards). No real mind-blowing numbers today, but I felt great coming out of the gym and I'm actually very satisfied with the session despite what the numbers say...plus, I flew through it.

Date: 2.1.07

Set #2 - 185 pounds x 15 reps
Set #3 - 205 pounds x 12 reps
Set #4 - 185 pounds x 12 reps

Shoulders
Seated Military Press
Set #1 - 165 pounds x 8 reps
Set #2 - 175 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 185 pounds x 6 reps

Set #2 - 40 pounds x 6 reps

BB Shrugs

...that's it for today - short and sweet. Not much else to say. Tomorrow I'm training Legs/Back/Bis with Glex.

Until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

That was a great session despite it being decently short. Your bench is really good, you were probably throwin' that weight up pretty easily. Military press is really good, and why only 2 sets of laterals and shrugs? You could of supersetted the military press with the side laterals... then gotten probably 3-4 sets on shrugs... but still every little bit helps. And legs/back/bis will be a tougher day.

Dam man all that in 45 mins is impressive. Big weight for high reps on bench. Heavy shrugs to :2:
