Alright ya bastards...I hit the gym today with Glex. I actually was planning on going early to do our modified Push routine but he caught me and we ended up doing Legs/Back/Bis instead. Here's how it went after a very awkward period off...

Date: 2.15.06

Time: 5:15pm

Duration: 1 hr 25 min

Legs
BB Squats
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 405 pounds x 4 reps
Set #4 - 455 pounds x 1 rep (+1 assisted rep)...PB
Set #5 - 365 pounds x 6 reps

Seated Hamstring Curls (16 total settings)
Set #1 - Setting #8 x 15 reps
Set #2 - Setting #12 x 8 reps
Set #3 - Setting #12 x 8 reps

Standing Calf Raises
Set #1 - 215 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 275 pounds x 10 reps
Set #3 - 315 pounds x 8 reps

Back
Close-Grip Pulldowns
Set #1 - 185 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 210 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 210 pounds x 8 reps

DB Rows
Set #1 - 130 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 130 pounds x 12 reps

Biceps
Alt. DB Curls
Set #1 - 35 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 45 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 50 pounds x 6 reps

...and that's it for today. It felt good to be back and although we moved a little slow I was happy with the session. Cleaning up my diet thus far has gone fairly well; I'm still eating a good amount of calories but I'm not getting half of them from junk :spy:

That's it for now. Until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

PS: Pics coming fairly soon?

well fuck me upside down and call me Rocky... Those squats were massive! ... MASSIVE!! Yes, very massive, very impressive as well. Nice job on the back training and the bicep work, those curls are really good, i think I could do the 50's for maybe 4-5 good reps... biceps are a strong point of mine :xyxthumbs:

Well its good to see you back in the gym, and good to see your cleaning up the diet, sounds like your getting ready to diet down. Yea, please post new pics.... :hsughr:

Tweak - LOL, yeah I have no idea where those squats came from but I was very happy with my performance. That's actually one of the reasons I didn't go quite as hard on back (ie. no pullups), I was just so warn out and surprised by my squats. As for the chicken leg comment...I'll kick your ass...at Nintendo.

onebigeric - Thanks, felt great to be back. Hopefully I'll reach 500 by the end of March :ughfingers:

Tim - I really appreciate it. To be honest I was floored that I was squatting as much as I was before school decided to require time and effort.

Paulie - What's with you and Tweak fucking things in weird positions? LOL. Thanks for the kind words and hopefully the numbers will only go up from here. The 50's on bicep curls were actually harder than I thought and I don't really think I've ever gone above that...maybe 60's soon? Pics will be coming soon, probably within the next two weeks so I can lose a few pounds first.

Chesty - :49: Great quote and thanks for the compliments on my numbers.

Thanks, TO! Hopefully 500 is right around the corner.

UPDATE: Funny story - I trained yesterday but forgot my log at my apartment so I did my best to remember the highlights and post them for you when I got back. Well, somehow I ended up erasing what I had typed so I didn't really feel like bothering to post it again. Anyways, here are some highlights from yesterday to let you guys know that I'm still training...

-3 sets of Flat DB Press with 110's for 4-5 reps
-Seated Smith Machine Military Press as heavy as 205 for 5 reps
-315 pound BB Shrugs for 8 reps
-2 sets of Hammer Strength Dips with 320 pounds for 8 reps each

Really nothing spectacular but I was decently happy with my numbers. I was in and out of the gym in 50 minutes because I originally thought I'd be training later again that night with Glex but his legs were sore from running and I was tired from classes. We did end up training tonight though and I will post the session in a few :xyxthumbs:

Tweak - :49: I was still happy about the dips regardless if I've done better. More than anything I was actually hoping to do more on my DB Presses but I know I'll have more in the tank next time.

Well, Glex and I got around to doing Legs/Back/Bis tonight and things went pretty well. We decided to go for higher reps on squats so we could deadlift later but I felt very sick afterwards so we'll save it for another day (talk about a backfire). Anyways, still some good numbers, hope you enjoy...

Date: 2.20.07

Legs
BB Squats
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 15 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 12 reps
Set #3 - 315 pounds x 12 reps
Set #4 - 335 pounds x 12 reps

One-Legged Lying Leg Curls (11 total settings)
Set #1 - Setting #4 x 8 reps each
Set #2 - Setting #4 x 8 reps each
Set #3 - Setting #4 x 8 reps each

Standing Machine Calf Raises
Set #1 - 275 pounds x 10 reps
Set #2 - 315 pounds x 8 reps

...PB

Back
Pullups
Set #1 - Bodyweight x 8 reps
Set #2 - BW x 8 reps

Set #4 - BW x 8 reps

BB Rows
Set #1 - 225 pounds x 10 reps

DB Hammer Time!
Set #1 - 40 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 50 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 50 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 50 pounds x 8 reps

...and that's it for today. I'd like to think the session went pretty well, minus feeling sick after squats. I'm also happy because today I got 12 pounds of protein powder and vitamins after a 3 month layoff (unintentional) from taking any supplements at all. Also, my diet is slowly starting to get into full swing and I've all but cleaned it up completely and will have it structured 100% fairly soon. Like an idiot, I left my creatine at home (I have 2-3 containers of Cell-Mass) so I'll phase that in a few weeks after I've lost a little bit of weight. I really do plan on coming down slow and steady this year and would like to stay over 200 pounds after cutting but I'm honestly more concerned with my bodyfat than anything else this summer.

Sorry for being long-winded, that's all for now. Until next time: hit 'em up :weightlifter:

Your squats are always huge man, and you have a good ROM which is even more impressive. I notice your more of a volume man, you ever change it or does your body respond better to it?

Instead of a quote, I found something I think you'll like. Somone remade the Simpson's intro with actual people :49: Enjoy :xyxthumbs:
