sure, I load the plates and grab the end and just shrug... done in unlateral fashion you really feel the muscle, it's different than doing with dumbells I like it a lot. def. gonna do it more often.

the reason I tried that was that I already had done the db shrugs and I wanted to do bb shrugs but someone was doing quarter squats in the rack and I didn't want to use the smith machine so I just looked to the calf machine and thought hey.. I could grab that with one arm and shrug ... let's try it... uh.. oh.. this is good... then I became a fan.

Speaking of crowded racks, there's a.....person in my gym who is a fan of placing a mat under the ONLY rack in my gym and lie down there doing some kind of yoga-abs. My mate and I have had to get him outta there several times and he keeps doing it! FFS there's PLENTY of free room in the gym to do that **** but he loves the damn rack so much.
Rant over.

I wanted to do bb shrugs but someone was doing quarter squats in the rack

thats impossible how can you be two places at once. obviously you should focus on your squat depth as ur squatting rather then think of doing barbell shrugs.

wow you didn't comment here for more than 2 weeks and you do this... LOL

my squat depth is very good right now, below parallel as you can see in my recent squat days the weight has decreased a little in my final sets to enable it.

oh shoot today is squat day.
