Interesting film but was rather slow moving and you didn't feel for the central characters as much as you needed to.

BTW I watched Paths of glory last night.
Paths of Glory is excellent.

As for F451, it was one of the more beautiful looking films I've seen lately but it was a disaster otherwise. The problem might have lied in it being director François Truffaut's first English language film as he's admitted that he was unhappy with the results and actually prefers the French-dubbed version of his own picture. It's an incredibly shallow and unlayered look nonetheless, though Julie Christie is excellent as usual.
